A family has been left reeling after their relative’s sudden disappearance led to an unnatural death. Deundray Cottrell was found dead on July 6. His death has been considered a homicide, and his love and business partner has been designated as a person of interest in the investigation.
Cottrell disappeared on July 4th whilst visiting relatives in Birmingham. His corpse was discovered two days afterwards within a shed located across from their residence. It has been two weeks since Angelica Cottrell has seen her younger brother. She was delighted to show him the new house she and her family had recently settled into. They were having fun on their Fourth of July holiday when tragedy struck.
What Happened to Deundray Cottrell?
At the time of his disappearance on July 4, Deundray Cottrell, 31, was in Birmingham, Alabama. He was visiting his sister and her family with his business and personal partner, Julian Morris. Angelica Harris, Cottrell’s sister, told 11 Alive that her brother was staying over for the holiday. She added that as the fireworks started, he walked inside to see how their dog was doing.
She told the source that this happened the final moment that she spotted her brother. She added that Morris, 31, informed her roughly an hour later that Cottrell had jumped out of a window in the residence and disappeared. Harris stated that she and her relatives instantly began looking for her brother, while Morris allegedly remained at the residence dining.

Deundray and Morris
Harris requested Morris leave the premises following Cottrell missing. The man has not been seen or heard from since then. Morris, according to the Birmingham Police Department, was Cottrell’s love relationship at the time he vanished.
According to the company’s Instagram profile, Cottrell, who had lived in Atlanta for the past decade, and Morris were also members of the Atlanta dance group Skiiboyz Entertainment, which also included DeEric Garnell.

Deundray Body was Found
Cottrell was found dead in a shed two days after going missing. His death was deemed a homicide, and Morris has also been listed as a person of interest in the inquiry. The cause of death for Cottrell has yet to be revealed.
According to a news statement, authorities are still looking for Morris to interrogate, but he was not identified as an accused person or prosecuted. They are interested in talking with him considering that he might have been the last person to see Cottrell.

Harris informed AL.com that whilst trying to locate her brother, she came across security tape that showed him in the vicinity that same night. It is unknown whether any other person appeared on the video, but the Birmingham Police Department has acknowledged that it exists.
The Birmingham Police Department has further asked for the public’s assistance in finding Morris. He has been described as a Black male at 5 feet 6 inches tall and also weighing 160 pounds.

Deundray’s family described him as larger than life, with an incredible sense of fashion and a smile that would brighten any room. As they prepared to honor his life, they couldn’t help but worry what had befallen him.
