Simon Cowell Set To Work With Domino’s As Quality Captain

Popular British TV personality Simon Cowell has taken his judging career further after partnering with Domino’s Pizza. In several recent Domino’s commercials, he took the title of “quality captain” and assessed some of the company’s products, offering his opinion.

Although Cowell is taking a relatively new role in the pizza chain, he brings his familiar method. In the two commercials, Cowell utilizes language his audience from X Factor and American Idol have become accustomed to. The celebrity judge expressed his pursuit of excellence as one of “Domino’s quality captains.”

Simon Cowell’s “Quality Captain” Commercials

One of the commercials begins with a voiceover saying, “At Domino’s, our stores now have quality captains, those who demand perfection.” The scene opens with Simon Cowell asking three of Domino’s employees to impress him. However, their first trial is met with criticism, as Cowell describes the pizza as “terrible and pathetic.”

Cowell tells the employees that he hates the pizza, although he was very pleased with the pies they made. Facing the employees, who were holding hands, Cowell said, “I don’t have to think on this one. It’s a yes.”

A customer at the pizza shop was surprised by Cowell’s appearance in the commercial. Subsequently, the customer brings out her phone to make a video of Cowell as he hands her a pizza.

In the second video, which lasts 30 seconds, Simon Cowell highlights the crucial role of topping placement. Facing the employees, he says, “Topping distribution: horrible. That’s a million percent no.” However, like in the previous commercial, Cowell appears impressed by the employees, saying with a smile, “It’s a definite yes.”

In 2019, while returning to the celebrity version of X Factor, Walsh expressed his displeasure. Walsh, who has always maintained a friendship with Cowell, praised him as the best person and stated that he deserves a Queen’s honor for his service to the music industry.

Speaking with Sun, Walsh said, “I’m saying why isn’t he a Sir. I want him to be Sir Simon. We’re starting a campaign for a knighthood. He thinks he’s royalty already, so it’s fine.” Walsh continued, “The thing about Simon is he’s made more people millionaires than the lottery. He doesn’t get enough credit for it, and he’s great fun.”

Kate Trumbull, the Senior Vice President of Domino’s Pizza, stated that Simon Cowell expects perfection, always making him an obvious choice. Trumbull said, “Domino’s demands greatness. They know exactly what it means to deliver the perfect pizza. Domino’s is a definite yes from me.”

How Many Children Has Simon Cowell Got?

Simon Cowell has a son and a stepson. On February 14, 2014, he welcomed his son, Eric Cowell, with his partner, Lauren Silverman. According to Cowell, his son Eric is named after his late friend in honor of the close friendship his father had built with him.

Consequently, Cowell expressed his desire to build a similar relationship with his son, Eric. Simon Cowell’s stepson, Adam Silverman, 18, is Lauren’s oldest son from her previous marriage. In 2023, while speaking with The Sun, Cowell discussed possibly having a second child.

Who Is Simon’s Wife?

From 2002 until 2008, Simon Cowell dated Terri Seymour, an English presenter, before his engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy, a makeup artist, in 2010. However, in 2013, rumors about Cowell’s relationship with Lauren Silverman began circulating.

Cowell’s friend and Silverman’s husband, Andrew Silverman, filed for an at-fault divorce in July 2013 and named the celebrity judge as a co-respondent, citing his wife’s adultery. Subsequently, in 2021, Simon Cowell proposed to Lauren Silverman while they were on vacation in the Bahamas.

Notably, Lauren Silverman is the daughter of real estate developer Steven Davis.
