In a stroke of fortune, Shailene Woodley reunited with her former co-star, Molly Ringwald. On Monday, December 2, 2023, the former co-stars reunited at the Gotham Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. In a picture she shared on her Instagram page, Woodley could be seen in all smiles as she stood next to her on-screen mother.
Captioning the images and tagging Ringwald, Woodley wrote, “The queen who grew up me up.” Following their reunion and Woodley’s post, Ringwald also shared an image of their reunion on her Instagram Story, commenting, “Made my night.”
Both actresses appeared incredibly gorgeous, with Ringwald donning a shimmering black gown featuring a cutout. On the other hand, Woodley sported a pinstripe black blazer paired with a matching dress shirt. Woodley further complimented her outfit with her red wine-colored pumps.

While Stirling was a housewife from the 1960s, Haworth was a journalist from the present day. StudioCanal released the movie on Netflix in a few select regions on July 23, 2021, and in the UK on August 6, 2021.

Additionally, she starred in “Strike It Rich” and “Betsy’s Wedding,” both of which premiered in 1990.
After returning to Hollywood, Ringwald appeared in the television series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” (2008–2013) and “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans” (2024). Ringwald also appeared on the CW’s “Riverdale” (2017–2023), “Creepshow” (2021), and “Dahmer—Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” (2022).

“The Fault in Our Stars” actress said, “I didn’t know who Molly Ringwald was. I was 15, didn’t grow up with a TV. However, Woodley benefitted from not knowing about Ringwald’s 1980s Brat Pack films by John Hughes.
Reflecting on their timing together, Woodley said, “I got to know her as just this, like, beautiful older sister motherly figure to me, who was really protective of honoring, like, my authenticity as a young person and who I was and just being, like, a kiddo playing a kiddo.”
Woodley added, “She protected me in that way. I’m so thankful for that because there is a pressure for people to grow up very quickly, especially when it comes to Hollywood.”
