Seung Yong Chung is the celebrity ex-husband of American actress, film producer, and writer Diane Farr. He is of Asian descent and was born on an unknown date in 1970 in South Korea.
His birth parents are Young Ja Chung and Tae Wha Chung, who are also South Koreans. Seung’s mother, Young, was a nurse during her career and retired from the George Washington University Hospital in Washington. His father, Tae, is an importer and exporter of manufactured goods in Seoul and the President of a trading company called Intraco Korea.
Seung’s parents relocated with him to the United States in 1972 when he was only two years old. Since then, he has lived most of his life in the US while also having the chance to visit his home country at will.

As with most Koreans, Seung Yong Chung is a well-educated person. His primary education has yet to be discovered, but he enrolled at Gaithersburg High School, a public school in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
After graduating high school, Seung furthered his education by attending Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. Later, he attended George Washington University and obtained an undisclosed degree. Reports say that this degree is the backbone of his career as an entertainment marketing executive.
Diane Farr and Her Ex-Husband Seung Yong Chung’s Relationship
The love story of Diane Farr and Seung Yong Chung seemed to defy all odds but sadly didn’t work out forever. The couple met sometime in 2003, fell in love, and decided to spend the rest of their lives together by getting married.
Seung got down on one knee and proposed to Diane at a private location, and the couple were engaged on October 29, 2005, as Diane accepted his proposal on the spot. However, due to their racial differences, their relationship was met with many opposing views from family, friends, and fans.
Both Diane and Seung’s parents disapproved of their union as they wanted them to marry within their race. In an interview, Diane said,
“We’re biracial — he’s Asian, and I’m Caucasian. On our sixth date, he said to me, ‘I’m not allowed to marry you. I’m supposed to marry a Korean girl.’ My parents had a similar conversation with me around junior high school, giving me a list of who I was and wasn’t allowed to love. But somehow, Asians just didn’t fall on the “no” list. Of course, by the time I left for college, the first thing I did was go and fall in love with a black man.”

Defying all odds, the love birds tied the knot on June 26, 2006. The private ceremony was held at Rainbow Tarns, a Mammoth Lakes in California lodge. They were together for 14 years before calling it quits in 2020.

Beckett Mancuso Chung
Beckett is the first child of Diane and Seung, born about a year after his parents married. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 16, 2007. Many do not know that the young celebrity son was named after the multitalented Irish novelist, dramatist, short story writer, theater director, poet, and literary translator Samuel Beckett. He is 16 as of 2023.
Sawyer Lucia Chung and Coco Trinity Chung
Diane and Seung welcomed twin daughters, Sawyer Lucia Chung and Coco Trinity Chung, on August 28, 2008. The twins are 15 years of age as of 2023 and are often seen in their mother’s posts.
Their parents are no longer together but remain co-parents with shared custody of their kids. Fans were heartbroken by the news of their split but were happy to see them with their three kids on different occasions.
Diane and Seung are still unmarried and have not been associated with any partners since their divorce.
