As the 2024 Thanksgiving season came around, Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, expressed gratitude for his good health. In a recent revelation, Ohanian disclosed that he had recently had surgery to remove thyroid nodules that could become cancerous.
Taking to his social media, Ohanian disclosed that he just had prophylactic surgery. Serena Williams’ husband revealed the surgery came after observing some worrisome lumps on his thyroid since 2020. Ohanian also stressed the importance of early diagnosis and treatment while assuring that his surgery was successful.

On Thursday, November 28, 2024, Serena Williams’ husband, Alex Ohanian, took to his Instagram page to share a hospital image of himself and his family. According to Ohanian, he had recently received surgery after some cancer-causing thyroid nodules were discovered in his body.
Captioning his post, Ohanian said, “I recently had half of my thyroid surgically removed after tracking some suspicious nodules on it for the last four years. The nodules were getting bigger, & the latest biopsy revealed they’d very likely turn cancerous.”

Upon further revelations, he added, “My mom had breast cancer around this age and then ultimately died from brain cancer a decade or so later. I hate cancer.” However, he made certain to assure his supporters of the success of the procedure and the need to stay watchful.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.”
In November 2024, Williams and Ohanian took to their Instagram post to commemorate their seventh wedding anniversary. They wrote, “7 years has gone so fast… Happy anniversary @alexisohanian. Thank you for being the best dad to our girls @olympiaohanian and @adiraohanian.” Notably, Serena Williams and Alex Ohanian married on November 16, 2017, in New Orleans.
