Since Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively welcomed their fourth child, not much has been disclosed about the 17-month-old baby. In a flash of events, Reynolds decided to reveal the name of his youngest child.

The Reveal

On Monday, July 22, 2024, during the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine at the David H. Koch Theater, Reynolds appeared on stage.  The 47-year-old actor was on stage with some of his co-stars and movie director Shawn Levy when he gave a heartfelt speech to the audience.

Subsequently, during his speech, Reynolds expressed his gratitude to Lively before proceeding to compliment her dress. Reynolds told the crowd, amidst laughter, that Lively’s outfit was amazing. Additionally, Reynolds acknowledged his children, saying that he loved that his whole family was there to support him. During the speech, Reynolds mentioned the names of his kids, revealing that their fourth baby’s name is Olin.

Reynolds initially met Lively in 2010, during the filming of Green Lantern, where both actors were in the lead roles. At the time, Reynolds was still married to Scarlett Johansson before finalizing their divorce in 2011. Lively and Reynolds started dating in October 2011 and tied the knot in September 2012 at Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina. After suffering backlash for the choice of their wedding venue during the civil rights protests in 2020, Reynolds publicly apologized.

Their first daughter, James, was born in December 2014, while their second daughter, Inez, was born in September 2016. Their third daughter, Betty, who was born in October 2019, is more well-known after Taylor Swift named a character in her song after her.

On February 12, 2023, Reynolds and Lively welcomed their fourth child, Olin, although they have yet to do a gender reveal. In May 2024, during his appearance on the Today show, Reynolds teased Olin’s name before revealing it in July 2024.

During his appearance on the Today Show, co-host Savannah Guthrie joked that Swift was continuing to hint Olie’s name into her lyrics. This was a reference to Swift’s song “Betty,” which included all three of Reynolds’ children’s names. Swift released her eighth studio album in 2020, titled Folklore, in which Betty was a track.
