The Blount County Police Department announced today that they have successfully located a missing 10-year-old girl who had been reported missing earlier this week. The young girl, Alexa Bliss, was found safe and unharmed in Blounty County, bringing relief to her family and the community.
The search for the missing girl began after she was reported missing from her home in Blount County. “An arrest has been made in the case of Alexa’s disappearance. Warrants will be obtained for numerous charges, and the suspect is currently being held in the Blount County Jail,” Blountsville police said.
“We are very grateful to be able to report on her safety and well-being. The circumstances of Alexa’s disappearance are currently under thorough investigation, and we ask for your understanding as we will not be providing further details at this time.” Alexa was last seen at her home in Blountsville on Joy Road between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The police were notified about the child’s disappearance at 3 a.m. on March 10, after the family conducted an initial search for some time. When their search was unsuccessful, they called 911. The Blountsville Police Department immediately launched a search operation in the surrounding area.

Although efforts were made, the situation did not meet the requirements for an Amber Alert. Nonetheless, notifications were distributed via the NIXLE alert system. “At this stage of the investigation, we do not believe she is in imminent danger,’’ EMA said in a statement. “Nevertheless, the search and recovery effort is our top priority.”
Officials stated on Monday that she left a note, but they did not disclose the specific contents of the letter. The Blountsville Police Department, the FBI, the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Blount County EMA, the Blountsville Fire Department, and other agencies worked together in the search. The successful resolution of the case was credited to the hard work of these multiple agencies and the support of the community.

The investigation into the situation is still ongoing. In closing, Best said, “Finding Alexa safe was our main objective, and achieving this would not have been possible without the collective effort of all the agencies and community members involved.
We ask the public to respect the privacy of Alexa and her family during this time as they reunite and begin to heal from this ordeal. Further updates will be provided as deemed appropriate.”
