Phaedra Parks is returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” following a six-season absence. Parks made her comeback public with a video in which she is shown clutching a peach, signifying her return to the program, as she exits a private jet. Bravo has listened to the fans’ fervent requests and reinstated Parks for the 16th season. 

Along with the original housewife Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton, and newbie Brittany Eady, there will be more significant cast members in the following season. With this impressive cast, fans can expect drama, excitement, and all the beauty that they love from The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s 16th season.

Phaedra Parks Announces Her Return To ‘RHOA’

Phaedra Parks has formally declared that she will be back for the 16th season of the Bravo show. In a joint Instagram post with Bravo on July 29, the reality star said, “You called. I answered #RHOA #S16.”

The Traitors alum was pictured in the accompanying photo shoot boarding a private plane while clutching a solitary peach in one hand. She looked stunning in a midriff-baring black, pink, and white skirt and matching crop top.

After long-time cast member Kenya Moore was removed from the most recent season due to a controversy involving season 16 newbie Brittany Eady, rumors began to circulate about Phaedra Parks’s potential return. 

Why Did Phaedra Parks Initially Leave the Show?

After spreading false information about Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker during season 10, Phaedra Park who is the mother of two children, Ayden, 14, and Dylan, 11, with her former partner Apollo Nida, left the show in 2017. Naturally, viewers may anticipate seeing more well-known faces in the next season in addition to Phaedra Parks.

Later on in the month, a story claimed to have exclusive information from insiders revealing Moore’s decision to not “return as a cast member for the rest of production” of the sixteenth season of the show. 

Drew Sidora & Kim Zolciak Reacted To Kenya Moore’s Exit

Moore at the time appeared to announce her departure when she posted a message on X, the former name of Twitter. In an exclusive interview with Page Six earlier this month (July 2024), Kim Zolciak, the former star of “RHOA,” responded to the reports of Moore’s departure. According to Zolciak, “It’s the best thing that could ever happen to that show.”

In the meantime, in an exclusive interview with Blavity, “RHOA” veteran Drew Sidora responded to Moore’s departure from the program. “I’m not pleased that Kenya Moore left. I believe that affects our show. She is a great asset to our presentation. She is renowned. Her personality is enough to turn heads.”

Drew Sidora remarked, “I’m not really in favor of her having this sit-down. You take necessary action to protect yourself. Ultimately, I think that we women must learn to negotiate it since this is real life and this is what occurs.”

“Also, we’re just beginning to know the new gals, we don’t know them yet. Kenya Moore does, in my opinion, need to return. I’m hoping she does. I hope she will make a return at some point because she is missed.”

Kenya Moore Reacts To the Controversy 

Later, in a tweet, Kenya Moore made a cryptic reference to her choice to end the series. “You are the best fans anyone could ask for.” and you all have my undying affection. Indefinitely and without end.”

The previous Miss USA also included “#TeamTwirlForever,” alluding to her following. When Parks appeared on the red carpet at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center’s grand opening in April. She talked with ET’s Brice Sander about her TV future and her experience filming season 10 of Married to Medicine.

Phaedra Parks Remarks 

Phaedra Parks remarked of her fellow Married to Medicine co-stars, “You know what, they are very different from The Housewives ’cause they’re professional women, but they have really strong relationships and true friendships.” 

“So it was a good time.” She went on, “We started taping two days ago,” indicating that she will be returning for a second season of the Bravo reality show. “We’re back for more.” Parks teased coyly, “I don’t know if that puts all the rumors to rest,” in response to the question of whether it meant she would return to RHOA for season 16. “Because I’m a multi-faceted type of girl.”

Phaedra Parks Excitement as Porsha Williams Returns To ‘RHOA’

After leaving after season 9 in 2017, Phaedra Parks was more likely to think about making a comeback after Porsha Williams’s return. “I love Porsha and, you know, we’ve been talking, and hopefully we can work something out,” Parks stated.

“Porsha’s my girl, so I’m excited for her.” Phaedra Parks stated that even after being absent for multiple seasons, she believes “the door has always been somewhat open” for her comeback. 

“But I want to do what’s best for me and my family, so it’s got to be the right opportunity,” she continued. “And it’s got to be with the right castmates.”
