In the wake of her battles with cancer, Olivia Munn stars in the new Skims campaign.
In the Skims campaign images, Munn flaunts her mastectomy scars, highlighting her ongoing battle with breast cancer. She modeled a series of products for the Kim Kardashian-founded lingerie and shapewear line, including a stunning breast illusion bra.
In collaboration with the Susan G. Komen organization, the Skim campaign encourages women to get early screenings for breast cancer. The campaign was released during the last week of Breast Cancer Awareness in October 2024.
The actress has urged individuals to establish their breast cancer risk score, which contributed to her early diagnosis in 2023.
What We Know About Olivia Munn’s Breast Cancer?
Since getting her early diagnosis in 2023, Olivia Munn has always been vocal about her cancer battle. In March 2024, Munn informed the public about her diagnosis and treatment in hopes it would benefit someone else battling breast cancer.
The stunning actress revealed that she was diagnosed with luminal B breast cancer in April 2023 following a series of genetic tests. According to Munn, she had initially tested negative for the BRCA gene and had a clean mammogram.
However, during her yearly checkups, Munn’s OB-GYN assessed a 37% lifetime risk for breast cancer during her pap smear. Consequently, she underwent an MRI, ultrasound, and biopsy, which revealed a spot near one of her lymph nodes in her right breast.

The ultrasound revealed two more tumors in her right breast, which were stage 1 cancer. Subsequently, on September 4, 2024, the actress took to her Instagram page to share updates about her cancer struggle. She revealed a thorough schedule, beginning with preventative checkups and concluding with the new medicine she is taking.

In the June 4, 2024, podcast episode, Munn discussed her double mastectomy and breast reconstruction with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney. She stated that she was initially concerned about the reconstruction as her doctor recommended a larger implant to compensate for the lost breast tissue from the mastectomy.
Munn said, “I didn’t want to have big breasts. I didn’t want them to look like a boob job. [The surgeon] was just very clear and told me, ‘It’s going to look like that.’”
She continued, “All I care about is that I’m alive, and I’m here for my baby. But putting that to the side, I’m like, one-day people will forget or not know that I had cancer, but they’ll look at me and go, ‘Oh, what a bad boob job.'”
In October 2024, the actress said that she was done hiding her mastectomy scars and wanted to show them as they prove how hard she fought.
