Morgan Wallen, who was arrested months ago for tossing a chair from a Nashville bar’s rooftop, will serve seven days at a DUI instruction program. A Nashville judge sentenced the 31-year-old country artist to one week of incarceration, to be served at a DUI education center, and two years on probation.
The court sentenced him to one-year probation for each of his misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment. This was on Thursday, December 12. The celebrity must also pay a $350 fine and court costs.
Worrick Robinson IV, Wallen’s attorney, said that he has fully cooperated with authorities over the last eight months. He added that he directly communicated and apologized to all involved. He added that Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.

Due to judicial diversion, Wallen pleaded guilty on a conditional basis. When he completes his probation successfully, the court will dismiss and expunge his charges.
What Offence Was Morgan Wallen Arrested For?
Authorities detained Morgan Wallen on April 7 after he threw a chair from the top of Chief’s Bar. Court records showed that he faced three charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct
Wallen’s most recent hearing took place in May when his attorney Worrick Robinson represented him after the country star renounced his right to appear in court. The attorneys and judge decided to schedule the case for August initially but then postponed it until December.
On the day of his arrest, Nashville police claimed two officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar, a six-story bar and restaurant on Broadway, when they saw a chair, which Wallen reportedly flung, fall from the rooftop to street level.
Days after the incident, a source revealed that Wallen did not stay long at the bar’s launch and was not expected to be there before he reportedly tossed the chair. The source added that Wallen is generally a nice, fun person to hang out with. However, when he gets going, he does not know when to stop.

On April 19, the singer addressed his arrest in a statement posted on his X account. He mentioned that he did not feel right publicly checking in until he made amends with some folks. Wallen had touched base with Nashville law enforcement, his family, and the people at Chief’s.
He expressed that he was not proud of his behavior and accepted responsibility. He also stated that he has the utmost respect for the officers working daily to keep everyone safe. Most recently, Morgan Wallen won Performer of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards. However, he was not present to accept the honor.
It is unknown why Wallen, who concluded his One Night at a Time tour in October, did not attend.
How Many Times Has Morgan Wallen Been Arrested?
Morgan Wallen has faced multiple arrests. On January 18, 2016, Nashville police arrested him and charged him with DUI. However, the charges were dropped. Wallen appeared in court in June 2016, and his case was also dropped.

Davidson County court records show that police arrested Morgan Wallen on May 24, 2020, charging him with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Police arrested Wallen after he was ejected from Kid Rock’s honky-tonk steakhouse in Nashville for being unruly and “kicking glass items.”
In October 2020, videos surfaced of Morgan Wallen partying without a mask during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to public backlash. As a result, he was uninvited from performing on “Saturday Night Live.“
