A store clerk in Michigan has been getting requests from customers who want her to help them pick out a scratch-off card. They hope the clerk’s luck will work out well for them as it did for one customer who won $2 million.
The lucky customer was a 30-year-old player from Delta County. The game she played was the Michigan Lottery’s $2,000,000 Cash Multiplier instant game. The store she purchased her winning ticket from is the North Bluff Grocery in Gladstone.
“I don’t buy instant tickets often, but I play the Daily Spin to Win game every day in hopes of winning the monthly $5,000 giveaway,” the player who wishes to be anonymous told the Michigan Lottery. “I won a $20 coupon playing Daily Spin to Win, so I took it to the store and asked the clerk which ticket I should buy.”
She took her ticket home and couldn’t believe she won the top prize. The first person she called was her father, who advised her to confirm it was a real winning ticket.

“When the retailer confirmed it was a winning ticket, I called my dad screaming as soon as I got in my car!” She said. The 30-year-old woman has claimed her prize. She received about $1.3 million as a one-time lump sum payment at Lottery headquarters on Thursday, January 4.
The Michigan Lottery says she plans to use her winnings to pay bills and invest. She is among the lucky few who have won cash prizes since the game’s launch in December 2023.
The $2,000,000 Cash Multiplier game offers a chance to win between $20 and $2 million with every $20 ticket purchased. Up till now, it has awarded players with more than $12 million in prizes.

Meanwhile, there are still more than $84 million in prizes remaining. These include two top prizes of $2 million, 18 prizes of $20,000, and 183 prizes of $2,000. It will take a great degree of luck to bag one, though. The probability of winning any prize from $2,000,000 Cash Multiplier is 1 in 3.49 million.
Those who want to try their luck can purchase tickets in person at gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores. Some airport terminals may also sell lottery tickets.
