Kane recalled the moment; he said: “And everybody was trying to decide if we were gonna go ‘y’ or, ‘ie.'”
Meanwhile, Kodi’s middle name Jane was inspired by Katelyn’s grandmother, who also answered to the same name.
Why Did Kane Brown Hide Katelyn’s Pregnancy?
News of Kodi’s birth was a pleasant surprise for fans of Kane and Katelyn because the couple hid the news of the pregnancy.
They kept it under wraps until Kodi was born in Nashville on December 30, 2021. She weighed 7 lbs and 9 oz and measured 20.5 inches long. Shortly after her birth, the excited parents blindsided their fans with a heartwarming family photo of their new family member, leaving everyone pleasantly shocked.
The couple decided not to publicly announce Katelyn’s pregnancy so they could enjoy the journey to parenthood on their terms. They took every precaution and went the extra mile to keep the news a secret from their observant fans.
When they ran into one, Kane said, “I would stand on that side of her, and I would have her pushing the stroller, just to do whatever I could to block her.”
