Meet Dimitri Portwood Kutcher, His Father Wanted To Name Him Hawkeye

- Top Ad -

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ son Dimitri Portwood Kutcher was born in the early hours of November 30, 2016, weighing 8 lbs., 15 oz. His parents revealed that he would be named Dimitri Portwood Kutcher two days later. Some sources claim that his middle name was given to him in honor of Ashton’s stepfather Mark Portwood.

Since he was born, Dimitri has lived a sheltered life, and his parents have worked hard to keep it that way. They have also stated that he will be the one to decide whether he wants to be associated with the fame he was born into or wants to fly under the radar for the rest of his life.

Here’s more about the cute youngster who, according to his father, is afraid he might die at the hands of his loving older sister.

Dimitri Portwood Kutcher Bio

Ashton and Kunis’s son Dimitri was born on November 30, 2016. He is the second child the couple have welcomed together. After his birth, his parents kept the news under wraps for two days before they announced it via Ashton’s website.

His sister Wyatt was born two years earlier, but Dimitri enjoys a special bond with his father since he is the only male child he has. When Ashton appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he got teased by the famous talk show host for always being seen carrying his son everywhere.

He responded, “I now have a complex about this because I have one of those hiking backpack things, so I put him in the hiker to go down to the beach so we can go down the beach. Otherwise, it’s a whole wrangling session with the kid. And then you came out and were like, ‘Oh, does he walk?’ And I’m like, ‘Yes! He walks!'”

Dimitri is also close to his mother and sister. His sister especially dotes on him, showing none of that older sibling rivalry.

Why Did Ashton Kutcher Name His Son Dimitri?

There are some claims that Dimitri’s middle name was given to him in honor of Ashton’s stepdad Mark Portwood. However, his first name was something his mom, Mila Junis, suggested.

Kunis suggested it on one of their date nights, shutting down Ashton’s fixation on Hawkeye as a name. She had said it in passing, but the name stuck in her husband’s head. Several days later, he told her Dimitri sounded like a great idea, and she agreed.

Given Kunis’s Ukrainian heritage and her mastery of the Russian language, it is not shocking that they settled on a name like Dimitri. She has also stated her intention to teach her kids Russian and that her husband was taking language lessons.

How Old Are Mila Kunis’s Children?

Kunis’s first child Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher was born on October 1, 2014. That makes her eight years old, but she will clock nine later this year in October. On the other hand, her brother Dimitri is six years old.

He will clock seven by November of this year. The pair get along well, with Wyatt playing the big sister role perfectly. She gets so protective of her brother that her father once joked about how Dimitri was wary of her.

Ashton once said: “But when Wyatt comes near him… he’s like Kung Fu Panda when she comes near. He’s afraid she’s going to kill him.”

How Long Have Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Been Together?

Dimitri Portwood Kutcher’s parents initially met on the set of a television show they were working on together. At the time, they were both teenagers, so nothing happened.

They lived separately for years before they finally started dating in 2013, got besotted with each other, and later got married in 2015. Ashton and Kunis are still together, and their blissful marriage is as strong as ever. They are dedicated to giving their kids the best lives and hope they become great people.

In 2016, Ashton revealed to Kelly Ripa when he cohosted Live! that he and Kunis were already practicing saying their son’s name after titles like “President” and “football star.”

They also hope Dimitri and his sister grow up to become nice people. In an October 2017 interview, Kunis said: “Yeah, we’re not going to raise a****les. There are enough a****les in this world! Don’t need to contribute. But, you know, there are some nice people.”

Lofty goals, no doubt, but if anyone can, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ kids can.
