Mariah Carey, the undisputed “Queen of Christmas,” has had to cancel two more holiday shows due to the flu.
On Friday, December 13, the singer revealed that she will not be completing her Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time gigs at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center that evening or at Belmont Park, New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday, December 15.
Mariah Carey shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she had to cancel her shows in Newark and Belmont due to still being sick.
She expressed her devastation about the situation and appreciation for her fans’ support.
In a message to her fans, Mariah Carey announced that she had come down with the flu and had to cancel her show in Pittsburgh.
She expressed her heartbreak over the cancellation and conveyed her love for her fans.
The announcement comes only days after Carey was forced to cancel her Pittsburgh concert on December 11, just hours before she was set to perform at the PPG Paints Arena.

The cancellations coincide with an important milestone for the artist. This season celebrates the 30th anniversary of Carey’s classic “Merry Christmas” album, which includes the hit holiday song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

On Monday, December 16, Mariah Carey expressed her gratitude to her fans, affectionately called “Lambs,” for making her #Christmastime special. She shared photos and videos from previous stops on her holiday tour and mentioned how much she loved singing with her fans every night. She also looked forward to the final show of the tour in Brooklyn.
The accompanying photo dump includes a dramatic shot from behind of Carey peering out at an arena of fans holding up their phone flashlights.
It included a video of her singing her beloved 1993 song “Hero” while her Lambily provided collective background vocals.
The slides also showed fans screaming out as the singer walked out into the throng and a homemade banner that read “You are my safe space,” which Carey signed.

Meanwhile, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” Carey’s perennial holiday smash, is back at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the 15th consecutive week on December 14.
