His former bandmates and X Factor stars, including Simon Cowell, have paid tribute. Due to his passing, Britain’s Got Talent has temporarily halted auditions.

In the weeks leading up to his death, Payne was filming a Netflix reality series titled “Building The Band” to establish “the next great pop group,” which is now claimed to be “on hold.”

According to sources, the series producers were shocked to learn of his passing. They also added it was too early to make any choices about the competition show. It has since been alleged that the series has ‘absolutely not been scrapped.’ Netflix would meet with Payne’s family to discuss a possible release date in the future.

According to The Sun, it is too early to decide whether Liam Payne’s Netflix show will be released, but it has not been scrapped. Filming was completed at the end of the summer, and Netflix intends to meet with Payne’s family when the time is right to discuss the series and its prospective release.

It was added that the “Teardrops” singer’s death has left everyone ‘devastated’ at the company. It has also been decided that there is ‘no pressure’ to release the series. However, they hope that it will become a ‘wonderful memorial’ to the star when it does.

What Is Liam Payne’s Netflix Series About?

Although Liam Payne’s second solo album was put on hold, the singer had been working on another major project with Netflix. Payne was selected to a judging panel to “form the next great pop group sight unseen.”

According to the streaming service’s press statement, former Pussycat Dolls vocalist Nicole Scherzinger will serve as a mentor and judge for the “Building the Band” series. She was to be accompanied by Destiny’s Child’s Kelly Rowland and Liam Payne, with Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean as host.

In its announcement, Netflix stated that the show would eliminate face-to-face interactions from the musical equation. Instead, contenders will select their ideal bandmates based on chemistry, connection, and, most importantly, merit.

The program promises plenty of drama, next-level artistry, and outstanding performances when the bands finally meet, considering looks, choreography, and style. Filming for the show began throughout the summer, and Payne and the other cast members were sighted in Manchester in August.

How Did Liam Payne Die?

The prosecutor’s office referred to the death as “doubtful/undetermined,” indicating that there was no definitive information about the cause of death. Following Liam Payne’s death, “a series of substances were seized from the musician’s room, which would prove a previous situation of alcohol and drugs consumption.”

Payne was candid about his addiction before his death. Forensic investigators discovered 25 injuries “compatible with those produced by a fall from height.” The singer’s injuries, particularly to his brain and skull (cranioencephalic), were “sufficiently suitable to cause death.”

The internal and exterior hemorrhages in his cranium, chest, belly, and limbs “contributed to the mechanism of death,” according to the statement.

Where To Watch Liam Payne’s Documentary?

ABC’s Nightline collaborated with The IMPACT to investigate the events leading up to Liam Payne’s death. The 30-minute episode of “One Direction: Liam Payne’s Final Days” explores the artist’s reaction to fame.

The show is co-produced by The IMPACT and anchored by Nightline’s Juju Chang. Former X-Factor finalist Mary Byrne, social psychologist Dr. Azadeh Aalai, One Direction fan Natalie Barada, and ABC News contributors Chris Connelly, Kelley Carter, and Megan Ryte are among those interviewed in the show.
