LeToya Luckett and Taleo Coles married in front of hundreds of their closest relatives and friends on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The Grammy-winner and the Virginia businessman exchanged vows in a “chic, classic” ceremony at the opulent Le Tesserae venue in Houston, Texas.
“We both wanted to get married,” LeToya Luckett said.”Having a partner who truly loves me and my children means the world to me. It feels like rest to be in this love.” Before they started dating, Luckett and Coles were first introduced by their mutual friend.
On March 10, 2024, in Sedona, Arizona, the businessman proposed to the singer and actress after they had been together for two years. Here’s a look into the wedding and their relationship.

LeToya Luckett said she and Coles always imagined a “three-day party” to “celebrate with our loved ones, friends, and family.” Well, the couple brought their imagination to life with their fun-filled three-day wedding party.
Their party included a welcome party at a speakeasy in the C. Baldwin Hotel the day before the wedding and a private at-home BBQ the following day. In front of 200 guests, including rapper Bun B, Toya Johnson, and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, the couple exchanged their vows.

Pastor Devon Franklin, Meagan Good’s ex-husband, officiated the wedding. Toya Wright-Rushing, Tammy Franklin, LaTavia Roberson, Bun B., and other well-known figures were present. LeToya Luckett notably said their love “feels like rest” came during their wedding vows.

LeToya Luckett wore a low-V neckline and a high-leg split on a white lace gown with thin straps. She paired the gown with diamond earrings and a necklace. The singer had 12 bridesmaids, all dressed in different styles of light brown gowns, according to photos that were exclusively released.

Meanwhile, Taleo Coles appeared wearing a black tuxedo with a suit jacket. A new lineup and a black bowtie finished the ensemble. Diamond bracelets frosted out on one of his wrists.
Luckett’s bridal bouquet and hundreds of other white flowers decorated the ceremony space. According to the singer, her husband found Teesrae in Houston, the destination for their wedding, so it was a team effort.
LeToya Luckett and Taleo Coles’ Relationship
According to reports, LeToya Luckett and Taleo Coles have known one another for 20 years, but they never took their friendship further. However, after praying to God for guidance in finding a “whole” heart, Luckett discovered in September 2022 that Taleo was unmarried.
After they spoke on the phone, Taleo reassured her that he would not be a stranger to her children by sharing that he had a stepfather. Taleo Coles stated, “My stepfather was a major influence in my life; he gave me the direction and encouragement I required.”
To put things in perspective, before her relationship with Coles, the R&B artist became engaged to Texas businessman Tommicus Walker in 2017. After getting married, they remained together for over four years before divorcing in 2021.
LeToya Luckett and Tommicus Walker welcomed two children while they were married. As time passed, Taleo strengthened his bond with the singer by leaving Raleigh, North Carolina, and relocating to Houston, Texas, to be with her.
She claims that Gianna and Tysun, her children, developed feelings for him and now refer to the couple as “true love.”

Heartfelt stories about the occasion from the couple’s relatives and friends filled social media. Hours before her daughter’s marriage, Pamela Luckett, LeToya’s mother, also had an interview with Essence.
Pamela remarked, “It feels like I’ve passed the baton. It appears as though they are in charge of Thanksgiving dinner. Everything is very wonderfully designed. I can unwind knowing that she is in capable hands.”
Also, LaToya Coles, Taleo’s sister, expressed her joy at watching her sibling walk down the aisle. “He has always been very giving and caring. When we need something, we call him,” LaToya remarked. “I knew it was serious when he didn’t come home for the holidays. Although I was sorry to see him go, I’m also incredibly thrilled for him.”
