A social media post has sent waves of criticism and backlash across the nation. Kyle Rittenhouse made the media post that has sparked outrage. As we enter Pride month, we are expected to witness a lot of controversy.
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, Kyle Rittenhouse, 21 years old, took to his X platform and accused President Joe Biden of being gay. The post has now gained popularity as it has amassed over 2.5 million views. One thing is certain from the reaction of the public: the outrage and backlash the post has generated.
Shortly after the post was made, the Biden campaign reached out for a comment regarding the accusation. Kevin Munoz, the campaign spokesman, responded through an email in which he wished Kyle a happy Pride month.
The post has now generated a lot of attention, with one X user reviewing it in a negative light. A comment said that people make statements like this when they have nothing to say. Additionally, another user stated that Rittenhouse has a lot of maturing to do.

Another commenter claimed that, despite Rittenhouse’s intention with the post, he had just shown support for Pride Month. It also read that Rittenhouse just admitted that Biden was a lot cooler than him. Another user felt that attempting to ridicule someone in that matter would be ineffective in 2024.
However, the user further stated that Rittenhouse was not in a position to ridicule anyone. Another user inquired if there was anything wrong with being homosexual.
Despite the outpour of criticism, his post seemed to have struck some people as they rallied in his support. One of Rittenhouse’s supporters was particularly pleased that he had used “gay” as an insult. The user added that he had done that, he had also convinced the left to use it as they attempted to insult him. Additionally, another user, appreciated him, saying he was speaking like a true American.
Controversy has surrounded Rittenhouse for some time, with the latest erupting on May 19, 2024. Rittenhouse had responded to a social media post showing three native Americans flipping out the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Rittenhouse requested that the Native Americans leave the country.

Rittenhouse came to public attention in August 2020 for the murder of two people and injuring another. The incident took place in Kenosha, leading to the deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and injuring Gaige Grosskreutz, now Paul Prediger. Rittenhouse was 17 years old at the time.
According to Rittenhouse, the three shots were self-defense with a semiautomatic AR-15-style weapon. Events happened during the Black Lives Matter (BLM) demonstration following the shooting of black man Jacob Blake by a white police officer, which left him paraplegic from the waist down.

In November 2021, Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges, including multiple counts related to homicide and endangerment. Later on, he declared his support for the BLM movement and stated that the purpose of his attendance at the protest was to defend businesses and offer medical help.
In a newly published book, Rittenhouse advocates for the usage of body armor kits while on college campuses, often at the request of Turning Point USA chapters.
