Kim Kardashian Says She Can “Fully Rule a Country” After Watching a Season of “The Crown”

Kim Kardashian believes she can do it all. The SKIMS creator reflected on the alterations that had occurred in her personal life as season 5 of “The Kardashians” concluded on Thursday, July 25.

Kim, 43, revealed in a confessional that she is concentrating on being a better version of herself as her career progresses. “This year has been so good,” she stated. “I’m starting my career as an actress. I had no idea this was going to happen. I’ve taken some time off to truly focus on being the greatest mother I can be.”

“I am not going to lie: I recently finished the entire season of The Crown. “I could completely f—ing rule a country,” she jokingly said, referring to the last season of the Netflix drama, which followed Camilla and Prince Charles’ marriage after Diana died. Kim also mentioned that she has “learned so much” and is excited about the future. 

Kim joined the acting world this year, and she intends to keep going with a role featuring Emma Roberts in American Horror Story: Delicate. In a June interview with Chloë Sevigny for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, the makeup artist shared her journey to landing the job.

She described how creator Ryan Murphy called her and said, “I really want to create something for you. Would you be interested in appearing on American Horror Story?” “I obviously know the franchise — and it was an honor,” Kim told us. “Sometimes it just takes that one person to really believe in you and give you that push.” 

This season of The Kardashians also captured the moment. Now, the SKKN creator is going to collaborate with Murphy once more, this time on a new series in which she will portray a powerful divorce attorney.

“I’m really excited about it,” she admits. “And, once again, his faith in me to take on this job means a lot to me. And it feels so natural as a character that I could be a lawyer in real life while playing one on TV.” 

Kim will also feature in and produce the new Netflix comedy film The Fifth Wheel. Her pitching experience with writers Paula Pell and Janine Brito was also featured on her reality program.

Kim Kardashian and Gypsy Rose Blanchard

Kim has also continued to advocate for prison reform, appearing on a recent episode of The Kardashians to meet with Gypsy Rose Blanchard after her release from jail. The couple talked about Gypsy’s eight-year sentence after she and then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn were accused with the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

Kim stated that Gypsy’s mother had exposed her to inappropriate medical treatments as a child owing to Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a type of child maltreatment in which a guardian overstates or manufactures disease in order to get sympathy.

“How sick must you be as a mother to let your child have surgery for your own gain?” Kim asked in the episode.

“I give you massive kudos right now because I think a lot of people are afraid of touching me as a topic, because I’m too controversial,” Gypsy told the reality star, adding how her life has been a “rollercoaster ride” and she’s “blessed to be given a second chance.”  “No one was ever a guiding light for me,” she said to Kim.

Caring for Women Dinner

In recent news, Salma Hayek Pinault, Kim Kardashian, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are among those who will co-host the next Caring for Women dinner. The Kering Foundation’s third annual gala will benefit groups dedicated to stopping the cycle of gender-based violence and assisting survivors and their families.

Last year’s live auction netted $3 million. “For women and children to be free to fulfill their potential without the burdens of fear, threat, and trauma, it is critical that we address violence at its root in order to change behavior and heal our collective culture,” said François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering and chairman of the Kering Foundation, in a statement Thursday.
