An angry Katie Holmes has given a popular media outlet a piece of her mind. This happened after the media house claimed that her daughter, Suri Cruise, had gained millions from a trust fund her father, Tom Cruise, set up for her. She asked the outlet to “stop making stuff up,” as she shared a screenshot of the story.
Katie Holmes made the statement on Sunday, November 8, 2024, in an Instagram post. The Dawson’s Creek actress also called out Daily Mail, the originator of the story. The British newspaper published the disputed story with a headline that read, “Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in,’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for her too.”
Reacting to the report, Holmes described it as “completely false.” In the post, she captioned it “Enough,” and she wrote, “Daily Mail, you can stop making stuff up.” Later, a social media user advised her in the comments to have more “perspective” as there were much more serious issues facing the public.
She explained in the comments section under her post her reason for debunking the story. While admitting that there were more crucial issues around, Holmes defended her need to go public with her objection to the publication. “I don’t disagree,” she responded. “But in the world today, I don’t want a target on my daughter’s back.”

If the reports are true, Holmes will likely be mad at her ex-husband for his negligence regarding Suri. This would also explain her anger over the reports claiming Suri inherited a fortune from Cruise.
