According to a police call sheet, authorities listed the 23-year-old receiver as the suspected driver of a Corvette that was racing a Lamborghini before a crash that resulted in four people suffering minor injuries. Authorities also hospitalized two and treated two others at the scene.

Dallas police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman told reporters that the Corvette and Lamborghini drivers ran from the scene. Lowman said they left after the crash without stopping to check on anyone. A dashcam video obtained by WFAA shows the scary moment when two speeding cars lose control and collide with several vehicles.

After the release, Rice’s attorney, Royce West, said the wide receiver cooperates with authorities. West added that the Chiefs star “will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.” “On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday,” West said.

Officers responded to North Central Expressway in Dallas after two speeding drivers lost control and crashed. Consequently, they caused “a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.” According to police reports, the Lamborghini veered onto the shoulder and hit the expressway’s median wall.

Also, a vehicle allegedly registered or leased to Rashee Rice was in the car crash. However, police have not identified anyone involved in the crash. It’s unclear if Rashee Rice is suspected of any charges as he hasn’t appeared in county jail records.

Dallas police recorded no significant injuries. Kayla Quinn, who was in one of the cars, shared a video on social media showing the damage to the driver’s side of her vehicle. Also, a Facebook post from Quinn’s self-acclaimed mother said Quinn’s 4-year-old son was in the car.

Another video circulating on social media also shows several people walking away from the scene. A bystander asks them whether they are all right and whether they are “just gonna leave it.”

The Chiefs drafted Rice, who grew up in the Dallas area, in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft. Hence, he was part of the team’s Super Bowl win in February 2024. The newly crowned Super Bowl champ played four years at SMU before the Chiefs drafted him.
