Justin Baldoni’s apology voice note, which he privately sent to Blake Lively, has leaked to the public. The recording has given more insight into their legal battle and has generated various reactions. In the audio message, Baldoni was seen apologizing to Lively for an incident that took place while they filmed “It Ends With Us” and lots more.
Furthermore, the actor and director apologized for sending her a lengthy message in the middle of the night. He also mentioned her “boobs” and her four kids in the conversation. “I’m gonna stop rambling because—Jesus Christ—it’s been six minutes and 30 seconds,” he said just before the recording ended.
Not long after they finished filming the blockbuster movie, Lively sued Baldoni in court, accusing him of sexual harassment. On December 20, 2025, she filed a California Civil Rights Department (CRD) complaint, which also alleged that Baldoni paid for a smear campaign against her.
In the complaint, Lively implicated a number of Baldoni’s associates and businesses, such as Wayfarer Studios. Wayfarer is Baldoni’s production company, whose CEO, Jamey Heath, was also mentioned in the documents. Other names included Wayfarer co-founder Steve Sarowitz and Baldoni’s publicist Jennifer Abel.
In his response, Baldoni denied the allegations. He then countersued the actress for $400 million, alleging defamation. His suit included documents showing a text exchange between himself and the actress. In the text exchange, he was seen apologizing to the actress for not reacting well enough to her input in the movie.
The newly leaked voice note has provided a more interesting twist to the story. Also, it has given some clues about the working relationship that existed between Baldoni and Lively.

What Did Justin Baldoni’s Voice Note Reveal?
Justin Baldoni’s apology voice note revealed that there were unresolved differences between himself and Lively on the set. Apparently, Baldoni discovered that he was at fault and tried to make amends.
The audio, which was obtained and published by TMZ on January 27, 2025, captured the 41-year-old filmmaker regretting having to disturb the 37-year-old breastfeeding mother in the middle of the night. “I’m sorry. You probably have kids all over you and a baby on your boob, and you’re listening to me ramble at two in the morning,” he stated.
Baldoni and Lively had worked tirelessly on “It Ends With Us,” the movie adaptation of a Colleen Hoover book with the same title. Just like the novel, the movie became a hit. The movie tells the story of a woman, Lily Bloom, who witnessed domestic abuse in her childhood. She then later became a victim of the same in the hands of her boyfriend, Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.
Also in the mix was her first love, Atlas Corrigan, who completed the love triangle. Despite longing for her love, Corrigan could do nothing more than watch from the sidelines, waiting for Bloom to decide to liberate herself.
The movie gained wide acceptance from 2019, when Baldoni first announced the project, to 2024, when it finally hit the screens. He announced Blake Lively as Lily Bloom, Brandon Sklenar as Corrigan, and himself as Ryle Kincaid to rapturous public applause. Baldoni also doubled as the movie’s director.
What Was in Justin Baldoni’s Leaked Video?
Despite widespread belief, there’s no Justin Baldoni’s leaked video. Instead, it was a voice note where he reportedly spoke to Lively about his mistake on the set of “It Ends With Us.” He allegedly regretted his lukewarm reception of her contribution to an aspect of the movie.
Baldoni had agreed for Lively to make some changes to the rooftop scene in the movie. He allowed her to almost completely rewrite the section of the movie. According to records of text message exchanges released by Baldoni in his January 16 lawsuit, the pair discussed his reaction to her performance.
Lively told Baldoni that she wasn’t pleased with his initial reaction to her tweaks. She also disclosed that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her close friend, Taylor Swift, applauded her delivery. Baldoni responded with the 7-minute apology voice note. “I’m really sorry. I for sure fell short, and you worked really hard on that,” he stated.
“And the way you framed it and how that made you feel, I just want to say thank you for sharing that with me,” he continued. “That takes a lot of trust and vulnerability. I feel really grateful that you feel safe enough to tell me that’s how you feel and share that with me. I’m really sorry, I f***ed up,” he continued.
Also, in the voice note, he stated that he wasn’t too proud to admit his wrongs. “One thing you should know about me is that I will admit and apologize when I fail. I am far from perfect, and I’m a very flawed man, as my wife will attest,” he said.

Update on the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively Drama?
The release of Justin Baldoni’s leaked apology adds another intriguing layer to the building legal tussle between the two Hollywood stars. This is coming after Baldoni’s lawyer released behind-the-scenes footage of both stars on the set of the movie.
According to the lawyer, Baldoni’s actions in the footage “clearly refute” Lively’s claims of a toxic work environment. “Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism,” the counsel stated.
But Lively’s lawyers have said that the video reflected the opposite. “The video shows Ms. Lively leaning away and repeatedly asking for the characters to just talk,” they said in a statement to newsmen. “Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort.”
