Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, has thrown out her lawsuit against him. Attorneys representing Jabbari, a British dancer, dismissed the federal lawsuit she filed against Majors on Thursday, November 21.
The development comes almost a year after Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor counts for allegedly laying hands on Jabbari. The conviction changed his life in many ways. For example, Jonathan Majors’ career was on the uptick before the incident.
He had even secured a role as the title villain in Marvel’s “Kang Dynasty.” However, the studio dropped him because of the conviction and subsequently canceled plans for the film.
Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Girlfriend Dropped the Lawsuit After His Marriage to Meagan Good
Grace Jabbari’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit comes just days after Jonathan Majors revealed his engagement to Meagan Good during the couple’s joint appearance at the 2024 Ebony Power 100. Neither Majors nor Jabbari have commented on the dismissal.

According to Variety, attorneys for both Jabbari and Majors filed a joint notice with the court to dismiss the case. “All claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice,” they wrote.
Jabbari accused him of defamation, a response to a post-conviction interview from January on Good Morning America that saw him claim he had “never laid [his] hands on a woman.” When he made the statement, Jonathan Majors had been convicted in a court of law for assaulting Jabbari in the back seat of an SUV.
He was able to avoid jail time. However, he was sentenced to probation and a year-long domestic violence counseling program. The judge who handled the case also required him to continue attending therapy sessions.
Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good were romantically linked in May 2023, and she remained by his side during his domestic violence trial. The two were pictured with ear-to-ear grins plastered across their faces on Sunday at the 2024 Ebony Power 100.
The “Divorce in the Black” actress even showed off her engagement ring on the red carpet, clearly happy her relationship with the actor is moving forward.
What Happened Between Jonathan Majors and His Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari?
During Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence trial, his ex-girlfriend, in her testimony, claimed that he had been controlling and manipulative while they were together.
Jabbari, also a movement instructor, filed her lawsuit against Majors in March. In it, she accused him of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and malicious prosecution.
According to the suit, Jabbari claims Majors would have angry outbursts at home, during which he would break household items by hauling them to the walls. Jabbari also claimed that the former Marvel star attempted to dictate who she could spend time with.
She alleged that the actor got so volatile after their arguments that he would threaten to unalive himself. Prior to the assault, Majors worked on the acclaimed drama “Magazine Dreams,” which received warm reviews after its Sundance Film Festival premiere.

Unfortunately, its December 2023 release was pushed back after Searchlight Features dropped the film following news of the assault. The rights were returned to the filmmakers, and then the movie was sold to Briarcliff Entertainment. The studio reportedly has it scheduled for release in early 2025.
Given her recent decision to drop the lawsuit, one might surmise that Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend has decided to let bygones be bygones. And the timing is perfect; Majors and Good now have a wedding to plan, and it will be great to do that without the shadow of the lawsuit hanging over him.
