According to reports, Asghari’s photo was one of many presented to the star to select from. However, she wasted no time in choosing him, and Asghari did not even have to audition.
After a few weeks, Spears found his phone number in her bag after a few weeks and decided to call him since he was cute. However, her move paid off as paparazzi spotted Spears and Asghari together soon after. The pair were heading for a romantic meal at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ restaurant in Canoga Park.
Afterward, Asghari shared a picture of the two but later deleted it after fans questioned if they were dating. However, on January 1st, 2017, the couple became Instagram official after Spears shared a cuddly picture of them.
Britney Spears Gets Engaged To Sam Asghari
In July 2021, Spears stepped out with what appeared to be an engagement ring on her finger. The singer’s alleged news of getting engaged sent her fans into a frenzy. However, it took two months of speculation before the musician laid inquisitive minds to rest.
Finally, Spears announced the happy news on her Instagram, sharing a video of herself flashing the diamond ring. Her fiancé Asghari also appeared in the video peeking in from the side. The singer captioned the video:
“I can’t f***ing believe it!!!”
According to reports, Asghari had proposed with a classic 4-carat round brilliant cut diamond solitaire in a platinum cathedral setting by Roman Malayev. He also had ‘Lioness,’ his nickname for Spears, engraved inside the ring.
Sam Asghari and Britney Spears’ Wedding
Spears and Asghari wanted to make their wedding memorable, and to plan it, they consulted celebrity event producer Jeffery Best of “Best Events.” Speaking to Vogue afterward, Spears stated:
“We really wanted to make this a small and beautiful moment with family and friends. We wanted warm and feminine colors including blush, white, cream, and gold, and a lot of various shades of pinks, blush, and reds.”
On June 9, 2022, the lovebirds tied the knot at the singer’s $7 million Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles. Spears donned a sleek, off-shoulder custom Versace dress with a one-sided leg-revealing slit.
The dress also had a classic white veil with satin edging. The singer completed her looks with jewelry bridal pieces weighing 62 carats, all from jeweler Stephanie Gottlieb.
Spears’ pieces of jewelry included a round diamond and pear-shaped drop earrings. Also, a heart-shaped diamond necklace in white gold and an oval diamond tennis bracelet. Meanwhile, Asghari complimented her looks, sporting a tuxedo by Versace.
“Marks Garden” delivered Florals for the occasion. The couple also had a white horse draped in pink and white roses, with gold hooves pulling a carriage for Spears. Some stars present at the ten-minute ceremony included Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, and Donatella Versace.
After the ceremony, Spears changed into three more looks; first, a mini dress followed by a two-toned outfit, and then a red mini dress. Again, Versace supplied all the clothes.
Citrus Blossom Bakery made the couple’s vanilla strawberry cake while music was by DJ Albert. Selena Gomez, Madonna, and Spears danced together to her song “Toxic,” while Paris Hilton and the bride sang “Stars Are Blind.” The couple then exited in a Rolls Royce at 10:15 p.m.
Spears’ Children Did Not Attend the Wedding
Spears’ teenage sons Sean Preston and Jayden James did not attend her marriage to Sam Asghari. Although they felt happy for their mother, the kids were not present to watch her say, ‘I do.’
Her ex-husband and father of their kids, Kevin Federline’s longtime attorney, confirmed the news to People Magazine. He said:
“They’re happy for their mom and they are hopeful that Sam and Britney are starting a great future together,” he says. “It’s their night and they didn’t want to take away from them.”
However, although they did not attend the ceremony, the kids had previously spent time with their mother and Asghari. According to reports, the kids and the actor also found it quite easy to bond.
