Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen have gotten engaged!
The 27-year-old “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star ” and the 28-year-old Buffalo Bills quarterback confirmed on Friday, November 29, that they will marry after being engaged last week.
The couple posted a beautiful snapshot on Instagram with Allen on one knee in front of Steinfeld. They were surrounded by an arch of pink and red roses close to water. They captioned the photo with the date November 22.
The comments section quickly filled up with good wishes from friends and fans, including numerous of Allen’s former and current Bills colleagues and fellow football peers, Taiwan Jones, Isaiah Mckenzie, and Trevor Lawrence.
The Bills organization congratulated its star quarterback on his engagement, with the team’s official Instagram account writing, “LET’S GOOOOOO!! ❤️💙.”

A source close to the pair told PEOPLE that both families are overjoyed about the engagement. “They’ve been head over heels from the start,” the source claims. “Their families are thrilled.”

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen were initially linked in May 2023, shortly after rumors surfaced that the NFL star had split from then-girlfriend Brittany Williams. In May 2023, a source confirmed their connection, stating that the new pair was “having fun.”
Allen spoke on the Pardon My Take podcast in August 2023. There, he discussed some of the difficulties the pair was experiencing after their relationship became public. During the conversation, he was asked if he had seen any news regarding “making out with his girlfriend.”

Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld have been dating since May 2023. The couple made their first public appearance together in October 2023, attending an NHL game at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center. Steinfeld and Allen were photographed in the stands in what seemed to be a suite as they watched the season’s first game.
That same month, Steinfeld was seen with Allen’s mother at the Leveled Up Buffalo store in East Aurora, New York. There, the two purchased various products. In July 2024, the QB took a significant step in their romance by making it Instagram official with a wholesome photo of himself and Steinfeld hugging in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Hailee Steinfeld shared that she and Josh Allen bought each other the same cooking knife in different colorways because they love cooking together. Allen mentioned an old wives’ tale that gifting a knife to your significant other without payment signifies the severing of the relationship.
To avoid this bad omen, they exchanged quarters. Steinfeld expressed her delight with the knife, saying it made her feel official despite not knowing much about chef’s knives.

On January 29, 2024, the star was spotted driving in Laguna Niguel, California, with Allen, a week after the Bills’ season ended with a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. With the couple now engaged, they’re on to their forever after.
