Renowned singer Gwen Stefani, during an interview with Nylon, addressed the divorce rumors circulating about her and her husband. The No Doubt frontwoman appeared very much “in love” amid the rumors. She quieted all speculation of a forthcoming split. “The truth is I am in love with my best friend,” Stefani, 54, said.
However, the singer admitted to still being affected by insecurities and “overthinking.” “In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what’s happening today,” she told the outlet. “You still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen.”
Fortunately for fans, that feeling resulted in something positive: the pair’s recent duet, “Purple Irises.” “I had been going through those times where you’re questioning: ‘Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?'” she said. “I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid.”
While addressing the rumors, Gwen Stefani said she and Shelton, 47, would not let anybody “get to” them. “When you’re in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us,” the “Hollaback Girl” singer said. “You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship – I mean, a week ago, we were getting divorced again or something.”

“It’s just lies,” Stefani said. “The truth is the truth, and we know what that is.” Stefani and Shelton met while they were coaching on “The Voice.” The two had a similar story when they met and found solace in each other’s company.
They got together in 2015 and later tied the knot in 2021. In February 2024, Shelton celebrated Valentine’s Day by gifting Stefani a massive emerald green ring.
“He really mixed it up,” Gwen Stefani said during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “Usually I get amazing flowers, which I love, love, love, but this was just a, ‘Here you go!'” She continued, “Yeah, he did the whole thing. I love you, Blakey!”

During the interview, the talented singer spoke about the pressures of working with No Doubt while expanding her family. Before her marriage to Shelton, Gwen Stefani was previously with Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale. The singer shares three sons with Rossdale.
Stefani told Nylon magazine she thinks her pregnancy with her second son, Zuma, “disappointed” the band. “I don’t think they would say that. No one’s going to be mad you’re having a baby,” she added. “But while I was busy, they were kind of waiting.”
No Doubt released its most recent album, “Push and Shove,” in September 2012. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and scored the band a Top 20 hit on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart. However, Stefani said motherhood shifted her creative dynamic with the group.

“Things change when you have two babies,” Stefani said. “There was nothing left in me. I had no idea. I had so much insecurity.” The singer added, “I felt like — ‘Help!'” Recounting the experience, Gwen Stefani questioned some of her choices. “I look at it now and think, ‘God, what was I doing trying to please everybody?'” she said.
“Because really, I should have just been with my family.” According to sources, No Doubt will reunite and perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 20.
