The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum posted an Instagram video on Saturday, July 5, 2025, of herself with Sterling from the 2025 Essence Festival in New Orleans over the weekend.

Yes, they are. As Eva Marcille Reconciles with Ex Michael Sterling, many fans are curious about what led to their reunion. While the details are not yet known, the “America’s Next Top Model” winner’s love story with Sterling began in 2016, with him proposing in December 2017.
They welcomed their son, Michael Jr., who is now 7, in April 2018 and had their televised wedding in Georgia six months later, in October 2018. According to the court document of the divorce filings, Marcille stated the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” She never gave a specific reason for their split. However, there were rumours that she was devastated over Sterling’s alleged affairs with other women. He said he would “fight for her with every fibre of his being”. “I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to win her back.” He said, “I love her and plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.”
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reality star also took the divorce hard and attributed it to challenges with depression and weight loss. At the time, fans were criticizing her for losing a considerable amount of weight.
When asked about her weight during an interview with Tamron Hall in the following year, 2024, “It’s like the stomach flu — you will be skinny afterward,” she said. “When you drop a 200-pound person, you’re gonna drop at least 30 pounds.” So for me, I lost weight just naturally going through life, and I found myself depressed.” She described the divorce as an emotionally and physically exhausting experience.
