Erica Mena recently discussed several subjects when she appeared on Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday” show. The mother of three talked about her work as a video vixen, colorism, and co-parenting. Mena was candid about how she and her ex-husband Safaree Samuels are co-parenting. She answered, “I want it to be better,” in response to Cam’s question about how things were going. I hope it gets better every day.

Safaree was accused by Erica Mena recently of mistreating and “grooming” their children inappropriately while they were in his care. The former reality star declared that she would carry on with her mothering responsibilities until Safaree took over. She also talked about her career in music videos. She claimed that although she started off feeling “scrawny” and unattractive, she “knew she had what it takes.”

Questions About a Previous Controversy

Newton also questioned her over the colorism controversy involving Spice, her co-star on “Love and Hip Hop.” The Shade Room has previously reported that Mena faced criticism for calling the Jamaican musician a “blue monkey.” “My actions have a lot more of an impact than I ever thought it had,” the woman stated.

I heard how you spoke about me behind my back, you just got caught on Camera that day.”

Spice continued, “Take me out of the equation since you still have a Victim mentality in our situation. What was the reason you called the promoters in Miami Black animals and monkeys, why did you call Johnni Blaze a black monkey? (Everything is on Google)”

The 41-year-old said, “No one can force you to spew racial slurs because you brought your son to the meeting and you came to that table to talk about the Amaras twins. You had the option to say anything, but instead, you decided to offend an entire country. Don’t stop; interviews aren’t therapy.
