Who Is Emily Compagno?  

Emily Rose Compagno is an American attorney, TV host, entrepreneur, and former National Football League (NFL) cheerleader. She was born to Katherine and John Compagno on November 9, 1979, in Oakland, California.

Her father is an Italian from Sicily, while her mother is of English, Bohemian, and Baden-Wurttemberg descent, making Emily a woman of multiple descents. She was raised by both her parents in El Cerrito, California, along with her two sisters. 

Emily comes from a family with multiple military connections, as many of her close relatives have served in different capacities in the US Army. 

Emily Compagno’s Educational Background 

Details of her early education are unknown, but it is assumed that Emily had a typical education and went on to further in the university. She graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in political science. The TV host received the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet of the Quarter Award while still a student.

She also graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2006 with a Juris Doctor (a law degree earned by completing a two- to four-year law school program). While at the University of San Francisco, she was the president of the Federalist Society and articles editor of the Intellectual Property Bulletin.

Emily Compagno’s Career

Emily kickstarted her legal career as a criminal defense attorney, working in several law firms, and later switched to a general attorney position at the office of general counsel in San Francisco. 

While working in San Francisco, Emily also served as the captain of the Raiderettes, the official cheerleading squad of the NFL side Oakland Raiders (now known as the Las Vegas Raiders) from 2003 to 2007. She performed at many NFL games, including Super Bowl XXXVII.

Her career as a cheerleader and passion for sports led her to pursue a career in sports broadcasting. She joined Fox News Channel as a sports and legal analyst in 2018 and has built a successful career. She has also appeared as a guest commentator on prominent news programs such as CNN and The Blaze. 

Emily currently appears on a couple of TV programs such as “Fox & Friends,” “Outnumbered,” and “The Five.” Emily also frequently appears on the late-night show Gutfeld! and hosts The FOX True Crime Podcast with Emily Compagno on Fox News Radio.

Along with her multiple careers, Emily is also an established entrepreneur. She is the founder of Compagno Law, a firm that specializes in civil litigation and criminal defense. The popular host also co-founded a non-profit organization called “Advocates for American Heroes.” The organization helps to provide legal services to first responders and veterans. 

Emily Compagno’s Salary

Emily has a competitive salary, which many might be shocked to discover. She earns $1,000 per hour as an attorney and is also paid $800 per hour as a sports attorney. She has also signed a five-year contract with Fox News worth $15 million, bringing her an annual salary of $3 million.

Who Is Emily Compagno’s Husband Peter Riley?

Emily is happily married to Peter Riley. The couple met during their student days at the University of Washington, where they were coursemates studying political science. They began dating some years after they met again in Seattle and had a private wedding in September 2017. They remained together over the years and are still married as of 2023. 

The two have kept their relationship private and away from the public eye, avoiding the possibility of having their marriage in the spotlight. They also rarely share pictures or videos on social media

Riley has an accomplished career in the real estate industry, which is his primary source of income. Before becoming a realtor, he worked as a data analyst in Portland, Oregon. The celebrity husband has made a name for himself in the real estate business and specializes in New Construction.

Riley and Emily do not have any kids together yet and have not revealed a public reason for this. The couple’s intentions regarding children remain unclear — whether they want them, have tried, or plan to in the future.
