Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy chastised Democrats, claiming they had “hijacked” the democracy they swore to defend. President Biden said in an open message on the X platform that he is withdrawing from the 2024 contest. He also stated that he will support Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the presidential ticket.
Biden was dealing with floods of abandonment from Democratic senators, who urged him to drop out of the presidential campaign following his severely criticized appearance at the presidential debate.
Dave Portnoy was Appalled
Since the news broke, Portnoy has regularly criticized the Democrats and American liberals, claiming that they were concealing Biden’s age-associated concerns and attempting to “hijack” democracy. On Monday afternoon, Portnoy addressed his disagreement with Liberals supporting Kamala Harris as their presidential contender.
“I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when the left keep calling Trump a threat to Democracy when the Dems didn’t let their own party vote for their candidate,” he commented on X. “It’s insane!!!!” Portnoy chastised Harris for being the Democratic Party’s likely successor candidate even though she did not seem to be an appealing candidate for the candidacy in 2020.

Portnoy Shared His Distaste
“She was so disliked and such a bad candidate, she didn’t make it through the first f—ing primary, and I guess she’s never gonna have to get a real vote, because she’s been handpicked on purpose by the people who have been running Joe for the last 2-3 years, and now they’re gonna try to run her and trot her out,” he quipped.
Beyond this encounter, Portnoy stated that statements from liberal celebrities such as actor Rob Reiner “set me off.” Portnoy countered, “Democrats and the left, the way they s–t on our face and tell us it’s 80 and sunny, is so infuriating.” “Kamala Harris will become the 47th President of the United States,” Reiner wrote on Monday morning. “Democracy will survive.”
Portnoy’s Further Arguments
Portnoy said that it is hypocritical to engage in such language about maintaining democracy when a substitute candidate looks to have been chosen without popular approval. “Just admit you hijacked democracy, just admit you don’t care if f—ing Mussolini or a head of lettuce is running against Trump, you hate him so much, you’re willing to trample on democracy, steal the vote from the American public, the most supposedly important right an American has, the right to vote, you have stolen from the Democratic Party,” according to Portnoy.
“You have said, ‘You don’t get to choose who runs for president, we do,'” Portnoy added. “A group of elite small people are gonna handpick and shove down your throat who you vote for, just admit that.”

Portnoy Likened America to a Third-world Country
Dave Portnoy further stated that although it is something for the ruling class to recognize they employ corrupt methods the insincerity of them as well as those who back them in claiming this is democracy in operation is frustrating.
“However, ‘democracy is saved’ and ‘America is saved’…” In my lifetime, democracy has reached its lowest point. Just say you detest Trump so much that you’re willing to do whatever it takes to beat Trump, and it doesn’t matter what rights you steal, stomp on, or whatever,” he continued. “It’s like we’re a third-world country now, the way this thing is being run.”
Portnoy’s Conclusion
Portnoy closed his video by stating that many detractors have advised him to refrain from political commentary and bluster, but he maintained that none of them have proven his arguments incorrect.
“If one person can explain how anything I’ve said is wrong, I’ll f—–g buy you an f—–g boat and be your captain,” the man added.
