Witnesses were left in shock as the enraged partner of an Irish pub employee reportedly attacked her with multiple stabs to the neck, resulting in a tragic scene just after happy hour.
Sarah McNally, a 41-year-old Irish immigrant, tragically lost her life in the distressing incident at the Céilí House pub in Queens, according to details provided by a New York Police Department spokesperson to Fox News Digital.
The horrific incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday, leaving McNally fatally wounded on the floor of the establishment. Emergency services swiftly responded, rushing a 36-year-old man, critically injured from stab wounds to his head and neck, to the same hospital where McNally was pronounced dead.
Reports from the New York Post suggested that the injured man was McNally’s boyfriend of several months and allegedly inflicted harm upon himself following the attack on McNally.

Eyewitnesses recounted the chilling events, with one female patron describing McNally as “just standing there talking” before her boyfriend abruptly entered and launched the attack. The scene quickly turned gruesome as he proceeded to inflict self-harm. The eyewitness expressed her horror, stating, “Horrible. Just horrible!”
The motive behind the fatal assault remains unclear, with sources indicating no prior history of domestic violence between the couple. However, according to the New York Daily News, the assailant had previously faced charges related to domestic violence.
As the attacker recuperates from self-inflicted injuries, pending charges hang over him, as reported by the Daily News. Meanwhile, patrons of the establishment struggle to comprehend the tragic turn of events.
Patron Mike Green told the outlet that he knew the couple and “still can’t believe it” or “picture it” after the incident, expressing his disbelief.
“They was always together. M is cool,” Green said, using the boyfriend’s nickname and saying that the couple often hung out at the Maspeth watering hole. “Both of them. That’s why it blew my mind a little bit.”, reflecting on the couple’s frequent visits to the Maspeth pub.

“Sarah is good people,” Green said of the victim. “She helps people. Everybody owes her money.”
Sources told the Post that the boyfriend held knives in each hand when he was approached by responding police and that they used stun guns on him when he refused to drop the weapons.
McNally was a “sweet, innocent girl from Longford,” a county in central Ireland, bar regular Mike Lambe, 62, told the outlet. She had worked at the pub for just a year.
