Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane have reportedly donated a huge amount of money to support the communities tragically affected by the ongoing LA wildfires.
The effort was announced on Instagram and via Chris’ website on Tuesday January 28. The announcement revealed that the couple’s foundation, Outlaw State of Kind, is donating $1 million to various organizations assisting those impacted.
Several Organizations To Benefit
According to reports, Chris, 46, and his wife Morgane, 42, are donating to several national organizations. Some of them include the American Red Cross, Direct Relief: California Fire Relief, GoFundMe Wildfire Relief Fund 2025, Project Hope, and Save The Children: Children’s Emergency Fund.

They are also donating to several local Los Angeles organizations, including California Community Foundation: Wildfire Recovery Fund, California Fire Foundation: California Wildfire & Disaster Relief Fund.
Others to benefit include the Center for Disaster Philanthropy: California Wildfires Recovery Fund, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: LAFD Wildfire Emergency Fund, Mutual Aid LA Network, Pasadena Community Foundation: Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund, and Ventura County Community Foundation: Wildfire Relief and Recovery Fund.
According to their announcement, the donation will contribute to charities focused on the arts, food, and animal welfare. “Outlaw State of Kind has donated $1 million to support national and local organizations providing wildfire relief in Los Angeles. An Update On the LA Fires
Chris Stapleton and his wife’s announcement comes amid the ongoing Los Angeles fires, which are made up of two larger fires, the Palisades and Eaton Fires.
Both erupted on Tuesday, January 7, and 6,837 and 9,418 structures were destroyed, respectively. So far, the Palisades Fire has burned 23,448 acres of land and is currently 96% contained.
On the other hand, the Eaton Fire has burned 14,021 acres since it started and is currently 99% contained. Up to 29 people have lost their lives in both fires, and entire communities have been displaced.
How Did Chris Stapleton and His Wife Meet?
Chris Stapleton and his wife, Morgane Stapleton, met in 2003. At the time, they were both working as songwriters in Nashville and employed at neighboring music publishing companies. Morgane reportedly had a crush on Chris and would often visit her friend’s office at Sea Gayle Music, hoping to see him.
Their first date was disguised as a songwriting session. However, Morgane has admitted in the past that it was more about getting to know each other than writing music. The pair tied the knot on October 27, 2007, four years after their first meeting.
