Pop star Bebe Rexha is having the time of her life with her new boyfriend, Simos Liakos. The pair were spotted on Monday, August 6, having some intimate moments in Italy. This is coming just a year after her painful separation from her former lover, Keyan Safyari.
Fortunately for the singer, she’s found a new prince charming in Liakos. Apparently, he has swept her off her feet and restored the joy she lost after her former relationship hit the rocks. In the photos, the 34-year-old “Meant to Be” star is wearing a black swimsuit.
She is lying down and placing an arm over Liakos’s chest, embracing him. Liakos, an architectural engineer, is wearing a black-and-white pair of boxer shorts and lying face-up. In another photo, the “I’m a Mess” singer is kissing her heartthrob.

Simos Liakos is the lucky guy in Bebe Rexha’s life. Hopefully, the pair will stick together and take more steps in the relationship. But who is Simos Liakos? First of all, we know that he is a stranger to the entertainment industry. That’s because his name doesn’t ring a bell to showbiz buffs.

Liakos has a master’s degree in architectural engineering from the University of Patras, one of the top universities in Greece. He is currently a director at Liakos Architects, an architectural company which is based in Athens, Attiki, Greece. He has worked at the company for over seven years now.
What Happened to Bebe Rexha’s Ex-Boyfriend?
Before Liakos, Bebe Rexha’s former boyfriend was Keyan Safyari. Rexha and Safyari started dating in early 2020. All seemed to be going on pretty fine until Bebe Rexha shocked her fans and social media followers in July 2023. She posted on Instagram a screenshot of a text message, presumably from Safyari, in which he called her out for gaining 35 pounds.
Safyari, who is a cinematographer, explained in the message that he wanted to be honest with Bebe Rexha concerning her weight. “I always said I would be honest with you, and your face was changing, so I told you it was…that was the conversation we were having and asked,” read a portion of the lengthy message.
The text message began with “Hey. I never said you weren’t beautiful, and I never said I didn’t love you. In fact I said how beautiful you are and how much I loved you.” The sender then proceeded to explain their motivation for speaking out.

“Because I care. Would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds. Obviously, you gained weight, and your face changes? Should I just pretend it didn’t happen and that it’s ok?” the message queried.
The message then went on to question her commitment to the relationship and accused her of seeking an opportunity to end it. “Come on, I gain 3 pounds, and you call me chubbs and fat. Doesn’t mean you don’t love me. If you are trying to find reasons to break up, this makes sense…but it’s not the real reason,” the message further read.
Although Bebe Rexha later deleted the post, the pair ended their relationship soon after. On July 28, while she performed in London, she announced the split. As she introduced her song “Atmosphere,” she stated, “Now I just went through a breakup, so I might get a little emotional, so you need to help me here.”
Later on in the show, Rexha said, “I am going to be at Heaven tonight partying and looking for a new boyfriend,” she told the audience. “I don’t know why I would look for a new boyfriend in a gay club, but you know — fluid?”
Bebe Rexha Also Called Out Social Media Users for Bodyshaming Her
Rexha has been pretty open about her body image issues. However, she hasn’t taken too kindly to being an object of social media ridicule. A few weeks before she posted the screenshots, Bebe Rexha slammed X (formerly Twitter) users for their negative comments regarding her weight.
The singer rebuked her critics via her X account on Friday, June 23, 2023. “I know I got fat. I’m so sick of people commenting about it. NEXT!!!!!!” she wrote. Interestingly, the tweet went viral and drew even more attention to her body.
She then made a follow-up tweet, where she wrote, “Human beings go through weight fluctuations; it’s life, and you don’t know what people are going through. Meds, disease, etc…”

What Made Bebe Rexha Famous?
Although Bebe Rexha has achieved fame and recognition as a singer, it was her songwriting prowess that first brought her to the limelight. The Brooklyn-born singer, whose full name is Bleta Rhexa, spent her childhood writing songs.
According to her Spotify, she has written over 80 songs. She wrote for industry heavyweights such as Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and David Guetta. However, it was her work in Eminem and Rihana’s hit song, “The Monster,” that shot her to global acclaim. Originally, Rexha wrote the song for herself before she sold it to Eminem.
Does Bebe Rexha Have Kids?
Bebe Rexha doesn’t have kids yet. Her relationship with her old boyfriend didn’t produce any. However, her weight increase has previously sparked pregnancy rumors. At one instance, after she posted a video of herself on TikTok, where her stomach seemed to protrude, fans began to spread the news that the Albanian singer had taken in.
Bebe Rexha had to counter the news in a number of subsequent social media posts. In a tweet, she explained that the weight gain was supposed to be a pregnancy symptom, but it wasn’t. Hopefully, her relationship with her new boyfriend, Liakos, will produce babies.
