What Is the Dan Schneider and Amanda Bynes Controversy About?
After being initially accused of misconduct in 2018, a true crime series has launched an investigation into Dan Schneider. Schneider became well-known for creating “The Amanda Show” on Nickelodeon.
The show, which Schneider produced, centered on Bynes after being impressed by her ability to portray complicated roles with ease at a young age. However, in the new documentary, Schneider attempted to help Bynes escape her home by emancipation, which she retracted.
According to Virgil Fabian, who directed “The Amanda Show,” Schneider’s meddling caused an estrangement between Bynes and her parents. After studying Bynes’ behavior post-documentary, online researchers discovered a video of her in a “jacuzzi” with the producer from her teenage years.
Dan Schneider has faced multiple sexual assault accusations from former Nickelodeon stars. While Schneider has denied the allegations, fans are convinced he did something shady with the then-Nickelodeon stars.
