The 2025 Superbowl will be taking place at 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. PT) on February 9, 2025. For better context, that will be 5:30 p.m. CT, 4:30 p.m. MT, and 3:30 p.m. PT. As decided by the NFL on November 28, 2024, the Super Bowl will start with a performance from Ledisi, who will deliver a rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Subsequently, Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will deliver “America the Beautiful,” and Jon Batiste will play the national anthem. Performing in sign language is Otis Jones IV, who will give a sign rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Additionally, Stephanie Nogueras will also give a sign rendition of the national anthem and “America the Beautiful.”
The 2025 Super Bowl will be broadcast on television in the United States by Fox, who will be broadcasting in English. The broadcast will be anchored by Mike Pereira, Erin Andrews, Tom Rinaldi, Kevin Burkhardt, and Tom Brady. The upcoming Super Bowl will be the second one under the current NFL TV deal, rotating among CBS, Fox, NBC, and ABC/ESPN.
As announced on October 14, 2024, Fox Deportes and Telemundo will be broadcasting separate Spanish-language feeds of the game for the first time. In a similar fashion, on January 15, 2025, Fox announced that the Super Bowl LV would be available on Tubi, Fox Corporation’s free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) platform.
As this marks the Super Bowl’s debut on the platform, this decision marks the return of the Super Bowl to free Internet television without a paywall or TV Everywhere requirement. Additionally, Olivia Culpo will host Tubi’s digital pre-game show and Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl LIX.

The Superdome gained fame as the “blackout Super Bowl” during edition 47 in 2013. The Superdome had suffered an electrical malfunction, which plunged half the stadium into darkness, causing a 20-minute game delay. In regards to security, Super Bowl officials released a statement promising to reevaluate their security protocols.
The statement came following the truck assault event on Bourbon Street on January 1, 2025. The truck assault had resulted in 15 fatalities and several injuries. Consequently, resulting in the postponement of the 2025 Sugar Bowl in the Superdome till January 2, 2025.
According to the tourism director Walt Leger III, on January 1, 2025, he said, “The priority would be on the immediate response to the attack, but there will be more deep conversations in the coming days and weeks to discuss possible enhancements for the Super Bowl.” Additionally, the NFL issued a statement guaranteeing that the game will be “safe and enjoyable” in the interim.
Who Will Do the Halftime Show in 2025?
On September 8, 2024, the NFL revealed that Kendrick Lamar will headline the Super Bowl halftime show. Although this will be the first time Lamar will be headlining the iconic show, he had previously performed at the Super Bowl in 2022. Apple Music, the main sponsor, along with the NFL and Roc Nation, announced Lamar’s return to the halftime show.

The Compton, California, native will now be the main attraction. In 2022, Lamar was a part of the halftime performance that included Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg as the main acts. The 37-year-old has received several accolades from the music business, including 17 Grammy Awards.
Two of Kendrick Lamar‘s songs from 2024 have already peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: “Like That” (co-written with Future and Metro Boomin) and “Not Like Us.” Speaking in a statement, Lamar said, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
