When “America’s Got Talent” judge Howie Mandel and his longtime wife Terry visited Las Vegas recently, they never expected what followed. The comedian described the gruesome situation during his appearance on “LIVE with Kelly and Mark” last month.
According to Mandel, they attended a party, and his wife had a little too much to drink. He had no idea she was tipsy and they eventually retired and went to bed.
Later that night, he heard his wife get up. Mandel did not know where she was headed and would have gone back to sleep. But then, he heard her walk straight into a wall.
She stumbled right after and fell, hitting what he called the wainscoting on her way down. It hit her eye, and when she crashed, her cheek took the impact, breaking.

All he heard was a “bang!” and an “ahh,” which cleared his drowsiness. He called out to her, asking where she was, but Terry replied, “I don’t know.”
As he described the ghastly event, they displayed a nasty photo of Terry’s face after the incident. It revealed the extent of her injuries, which included significant bruising and lacerations to her forehead and eye.
The room they were in had been dark, and when Mandel turned on the lights, he found his wife face down in a corner with pooling blood. Mandel has seen a lot of things in his showbiz history, but that image left him freaked out.

He quickly picked her up and moved her to their bed, and her blood was everywhere. In a bid to stop the flow, he used up all the towels, but his wife, still conscious, wanted him to do something else — get ice.
They were far from the comforts of their home, and Mandel had no idea where to get ice. In the end, he settled for a cold soda can from the hotel’s minibar, but as soon as he put it on Terry’s forehead, she threw it across the room.
His second attempt to assuage her pain saw him wrap two cold cans in a towel, but his wife’s response was the same. The action gave Mandel a good look at her head, and he caught a glimpse of her skull. He freaked again and tried to get hotel security to call 911. However, they insisted on coming to his hotel room.
Ultimately, the comedian got his wife to a hospital where she was treated, and all was well again. When he finished his story, he assured the hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Conseulos that Terry healed perfectly and that the wound left no scar.
