Aaron Judge has announced that he and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, are expecting their first child together. The outfielder for the New York Yankees had made the announcement in a pre-recorded video.
On Saturday, January 25, 2025, a pre-recorded video of Judge was aired when he won the 2024 AL MVP Award at a dinner in New York City. Speaking in the video, Judge said, “I want to start by apologizing for missing the award dinner this evening. However, my wife Samantha and I are expecting our first child any day and could unfortunately not make it.”
The New York Post first reported that Judge and his wife are expecting a daughter, citing an anonymous source. However, the couple, who got married on December 13, 2021, in a private ceremony at the Montage Kapalua Bay Resort in Maui, Hawaii, have yet to confirm the news.

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck initially met during their time at Linden High School in California. According to PEOPLE, prior to their high school in 2010, Judge had participated in baseball, basketball, and football. However, he later specialized in baseball.

Following their graduation in 2010, Judge and Bracksieck attended Fresno State University in California. During her undergraduate days at Fresno State University, Bracksieck majored in kinesiology. Subsequently, in 2017, Bracksieck received recognition for an exceptional master’s thesis in kinesiology while attending the University.
Her award-winning study focused on elbow ligament injuries in Major League Baseball. Bracksieck’s study is titled “Posterior Elbow Angle During the Movement Phase of Throwing in Relation to the Susceptibility of UCL Injury in Major League Baseball Players.”
While Judge and Bracksieck prefer to keep their relationship private, the couple became Instagram-official in November 2014, following Judge’s Instagram post. The post contained a series of pictures showing the pair, along with Judge’s parents, taking part in a Thanksgiving Day run together. The couple eventually tied the knot on December 13, 2021.

Speaking with The New York Post in September 2022, Judge said, “My wife has been with me through it all, and she’s calm as a cucumber, that’s for sure. Subsequently, in December 2022, after signing his nine-year contract with the Yankees, Judge gave a shout-out to Bracksieck.
Judge said, “Thank you to everybody, my wife, Samantha. My wife and I came to the decision that was in our hearts, which is we belong in New York; we belong in this city.” Though Judge and Bracksieck primarily keep their relationship under wraps, they are frequently seen enjoying sporting events together.

According to The Daily Mail, Judge and Bracksieck married in a secret ceremony in Maui, Hawaii, on December 13, 2021. In the pictures obtained by The Daily Mail, the couple exchanged vows at a resort in Hawaii under a striking arch of flowers and foliage. The pictures show Judge wearing a black tuxedo and Bracksieck donning an elaborate gown with a long veil and illusion neckline.

Their wedding had occurred amidst their close friends and family, including several of Judge’s teammates. Despite the announcement of the wedding making headlines, the couple never officially announced their engagement. Their guest list included Gary Sanchez, Luis Cessa, and Gleyber Torres.
With Aaron Judge’s announcement on January 25, 2025, it has been confirmed that Aaron Judge’s wife is pregnant. During his 2023 appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” he discussed her impact on his choice to stay with the Yankees.
“I met a lot of great teams and a lot of great people along the way. But, you know, after every meeting, I’d sit down with my wife, and we kind of look at each other and be like, ‘We’re Yankees,’” the baseball star said.
