Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey finally aired on March 7, giving the world an insight into the unspoken truths about royalty.
Since TV host Oprah Winfrey teased the world with a brief clip from her “no off-limits” interview with the Sussex Royals, everyone has waited in anticipation for the bombshell.
During the interview, which aired on Sunday, March 7, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle made do with their pledge to tell-all. They shared some shocking details about their lives as royalties, before and after the royal step back.
KATE MIDDLETON DROVE MEGHAN TO TEARS BEFORE THE WEDDING
The Duchess of Sussex went candid about her rocky relationship with sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. During the interview, the “Suits” alum admitted that the Duchess of Cambridge made her cry days before her 2018 marriage to Prince harry.
The assertion went contrary to previous claims that Markle had driven Middleton to tears on occasions. This prompted the show host to press the matter further, in an attempt to acquire specific details of the hurtful incident.
Meghan Markle revealed Middleton hurt her feelings with an issue pertaining to “flower girl dresses,” leaving her in tears. She went on to note that the Duchess of Cambridge later sent an apology gift afterward, which she never received until months later.
PRINCE CHARLES STOPPED TAKING HARRY’S CALLS
Like the rest of the royalties, Harry’s father, Prince Charles received the news of their Megxit with disdain. Hence, he asked his son to stop contacting him via phone calls and put everything worth discussing in writing.

Harry also debunked the royal family’s claims that he decided to step down from his royal duties without prior notice to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The 36-year-old told Oprah Winfrey that he would never blindside the queen, as he possessed lots of respect for her.
He also alluded his decision to leave to lack of support and understanding. On Winfrey’s prompt, the Duke explained that both the British Press and the Institution defaulted in these aspects.

To the whole world, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in the grand royal wedding on March 19, 2018. However, for the royal sweethearts, their actual union came three days earlier in a bid to have a touch of intimacy.
Meghan admitted to Winfrey that before the family had the chance to convert their marriage into a royal occasion, they sealed their union in a secret wedding. The Archbishop of Canterbury wed the couple in the backyard of their home.
MEGHAN’S REGRET
After over two years as a member of the royal family and enduring the hardship that came with it, Meghan has just a single regret. She told Winfrey that she regretted believing in the royal family’s promise to protect her.
According to the duchess, if she could go back to 2016 when it all began, she would stop herself from ever trusting in their promises. That way, she would be able to “do more.”
Gladly, stepping back from the British royal family helped the “Suits” alum find her voice once again. She explained during the interview that she no longer felt “silenced” compared to her time as a senior royal, which she likened to the life of the fairytale character, Princess Ariel.
Having endured some of the toxicities that came with life as a British royal, Harry and Markle, together with their son, Archie emerged on the other side, stronger and thriving. The couple described the “miracle” of their happy ending as “greater than any fairytale.” They couldn’t have said it better!
