There are new parents in town, and they were blessed two times over. They are Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel, proud parents of fraternal twins they welcomed in early April.
One is a boy named Cooper, while the other is a girl named Maya. The Shade Room has secured exclusive pictures of the proud couple and their little bundles of joy.
About what helped them decide what to name their newborns, Gabby informed The Shade Room that her hubby’s old desire influenced their son’s name. According to her, Brandon had always wanted a son named Cooper so they could call him “Coop,” and their daughter Maya was named after the Mayan Riviera in Mexico.

The happy mom also revealed that both kids have traditional West African middle names they share with her family members. Regarding parenting, Gabby shared that the twins have not really started interacting with one another.
However, Gabby and her hubby have identified some of their unique characteristics. She describes them as extremely strong and funny. She also said that their twins’ intuition has already manifested itself.
One example she gave was how Cooper would, on some occasions, become Maya’s mouthpiece, alerting them about something she was about to do. Gabby also revealed that Maya loves hearing her name sung to her and has mastered comedic timing.

On the other hand, Cooper does not compromise on his beauty sleep and reportedly makes the funniest facial expressions. Above all, the two miracles enjoy cuddling with their doting parents. The parenting experience has been thrilling for Gabby and Brandon, but it has also been a learning curve.
One of the things that surprised them was learning how loud babies can be when they do what the pair called “active sleeping.” But they know there will be more exciting discoveries along the way. They now look forward to dressing the kids in adorable outfits and raising them with good values.
Cooper and Maya are the first set of kids Gabby and Brandon have had. The successful delivery is impressive for two reasons. First, Gabourey Sidibe is 41 years old, a dangerous age for a woman to get pregnant, let alone have twins.

Second, the twins did not arrive on the expected due date. The couple reportedly discovered that the babies would come the same day they visited their doctor for a routine checkup. Nevertheless, it all went well, and the kids are growing up strong and hearty.
Congratulations, Gabby and Brandon!
