Former President Donald Trump is popular for many reasons, one of which includes his boldness. He is not afraid to go back and forth with high-up authorities, and he proved this in a recent court hearing.

During his trial for the E. Jean defamation trial, the presiding judge warned that he might bar Trump from the courtroom. This was because he was whining loudly and animatedly to his lawyer during Carroll’s testimony about how he repeatedly defamed her.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan warned Trump after the jury left the courtroom but in the presence of his lawyers. “Mr. Trump has the right to be present here. That right can be forfeited, and it can be forfeited if he is disruptive” and “if he disregards court orders,” he said.

“Mr. Trump, I hope I don’t have to consider excluding you from the trial. I understand you are very eager for me to do that.” Trump responded, “I would love it. I would love it.” “I know you would because you just can’t control yourself in these circumstances, apparently. You just can’t,” the judge shot back. “Neither can you,” Trump said.

When Trump returned to the courtroom, he posted attacks against the judge on his Truth Social platform. He called Kaplan a “seething and hostile Clinton-appointed Judge.” Furthermore, he claimed that Kaplan was not impartial in any way.

“He is abusive, rude, and obviously not impartial, but that’s the way this crooked system works!” he said in one of the posts. Trump was on a roll that day and wasn’t letting up easy. He continued to make several posts on the social media platform, slamming the judge at every turn.

In another post, he wrote that Kaplan “should be sanctioned for his abuse of power — No wonder our Country is going to Hell!” The former president didn’t stop his bashing online. After the court hearing, he had a lot to say about Kaplan to reporters.

“That’s a nasty man. He’s a nasty judge. He’s a Trump-hating guy,” he claimed. This Trump vs. Kaplan drama started earlier on the day of the hearing. E. Jean Carroll, the woman who claims Trump assaulted her, stood in front of the jury for her testimony.

“I am here because Donald Trump assaulted me, and when I wrote about it, he lied, and he shattered my reputation,” Carroll, 80, told the jury. During her testimony, Trump repeatedly shook his head and commented to his lawyer.

Clearly, he was angry and upset at Carroll’s testimony. At some point, his lawyer objected to Carroll’s statement, and the judge denied her request and asked her to sit down.

Immediately, Trump slammed the table and commented to his attorney, “nasty guy,” apparently referring to the judge. He also continued making many loud comments and mocking Carroll’s memory. This is why the judge spoke to Trump and warned him while the jury was out.

He warned that some jurors could have heard him say, “This really is a con job” and “It’s a witch hunt.” However, Trump did not care much about this, and this led to a back-and-forth with the judge.
