A new social media post made by TV star Chrissy Teigen was quite an emotional rollercoaster as she opened up on the after-effect of miscarriage on her body.
Chrissy Teigen is battling the aftermath of her miscarriage many months after the touching incident. She took to Instagram recently, where she laid it bare on how her body has been.
Teigen shared an image of her body, noting the little progress she made in the months following the miscarriage. The star listed all the processes her body was supposed to go through compared to how it is.
Teigen On Her Postpartum Body
The image she posted showed the “Lip Sync Battle” host sitting on the wooden floor of her closet and in front of a floor-length mirror. She donned an all-black look that included a sports bra and leggings.
Teigen sat cross-legged, pushing her lower body forward. She moved her phone upwards to keep her face off the camera. The “Chrissy’s Court” star wrote of how it felt weird to lose a baby and how one’s body “gets paused in time.”
With this, she outlined all the changes that “usually” came with being pregnant. Teigen also outlined how the body changes after the baby was born. Teigen wrote:
“Usually, you’d gain your’ yumyums I’m praaaagnant!’ weight, then put on the weight of your little bebe. Then, ideally, you’d have your baby. And you would feed it from your boobs…”
The cookbook author then wrote of how when one loses the baby halfway through pregnancy, the body “just pauses.” Teigen alluded that one would “be stuck,” with no one to feed. The star also wrote of how she has been feeling about losing Jack.
How Teigen Has Been Feeling
It’s been months since Teigen informed fans that she had a miscarriage, but it has been difficult for her to move on the path of healing. The “Cravings” author wrote that she had been “slightly down.”
Teigen shared that this feeling started when she was thinking of how to introduce her third cookbook to the world. She noted that after she typed out, “my third baby is here,” it struck a chord within her.
The star mom realized her third baby “will never be here.” The sports illustrated star had also thrown herself into writing the book not to “think of her actual third baby.” However, she had not fully processed the loss.
A Challenging Experience
Following Chrissy Teigen’s miscarriage, the 35-year-old dealt with different situations, including grieving and trying to heal. She also came under fire for her past Internet misconducts. She shared in an update that life was “complicated.”
The “Deal or No Deal” alum experienced child loss in 2020 and has since been grieving and trying to move on. In November 2020, Teigen shared that she was in a very dark bubble” and did not know how to express herself.
Teigen’s husband, John Legend was right by his wife’s side, making sure to help her heal. He described Teigen as “courageous,” adding that the many challenges they have faced made her stronger.
John and Teigen have been married since 2013, and they share two kids, Luna and Miles. While sharing the news of Chrissy Teigen’s miscarriage, the couple chipped in that they were grateful for their two little ones.
