12 Years After The Premiere of The “Twilight” Series: Where Are The Casts Now?

The romantic fantasy film, “Twilight,” first hit the screens in 2008, easily becoming a top pick among the American audience and the world at large. With its success in the box office, the teenage drama marked the big break for the majority of “Twilight” casts, who, twelve years later, are basking in the stardom.

Director Catherine Hardwicke sold the world what could undoubtedly pass for the greatest vampire-werewolf story ever told in 2008. Featuring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, the love story of Bella and Edward grossed impressively in the box office. Thanks to its success, four other releases followed, making the film into a saga.

Twelve years after its release, the “Twilight” series, based on the 2005 novel by Stephenie Meyers, remains a fan-favorite fantasy drama. Along with its success, all the movie’s casts also attained fame and affluence in their own rights.

Notably, Kristen landed major roles in iconic dramas like “Snow White And Huntsman,” and 2019s “Charlie’s Angels.” Meanwhile, her on-and-off-screen love interest, Pattinson became one of the highest-paid actors in the world, with several award-winning roles.

Watching the duo of Stewart and Pattinson rise in the movie industry surrounded by their relationship scandals and major criticisms makes one wonder what the rest of the “Twilight” casts have been up to. Here’s a pointer.


Kristen Stewart began her rise to fame as a child actress, playing her first notable role in “Panic Room,” 2002. She snagged other parts in “Zathura,” 2005, “Into The Wild,” and “In The Land of Women” 2007, making her a notable star at eighteen. Landing a part in 2008s “Twilight,” and the follow-up sequels further established her as one of the most sought-after actresses.

Following her gross success in the “Twilight” series, starring as Bella Swan, she went on to snag lead roles in “Snowman And Huntsman,” “Still Alice,” “Clouds Of Sils Maria,” “Charlie’s Angels” and 2020’s “Underwater.”

Additionally, she sustained a brief romance with her “Twilight” co-star and love interest, Robert Pattinson. However, their relationship ended on a bad note following a cheating scandal. Kristen Stewart now focuses on growing her career and has since done an excellent job at it at only thirty.

“‘Twilight’s” Robert Pattinson, now 34, made his film debut in 2004, securing roles in “Ring Of The Nibelungs,” and as Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire.”

His role as the vampire, Edward Cullen, Pattinson garnered global recognition, setting him off to a life of stardom. Pattinson soon became a Hollywood heartthrob, with major roles in “The Childhood Of A Leader,” “Good Time,” and “The Rover.” 

Through his works, the actor established himself among the highest-paid actors, the top 100 most influential people in the world. He also made the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. Today, Pattinson is the ambassador of the nonprofit, “Go Campaign,” which focuses on raising funds to better the lives of orphans and vulnerable children.

Starring as the werewolf, Jacob Black in the “Twilight” series, Taylor Lautner rose to fame dramatically. Although he made few television appearances in “Cheaper By The Dozen 2,” and “Danny Phantom,” before landing his role in the 2008 production, his role as the werewolf bad-boy remains his most accredited to date.

Taylor Lautner, now 28, has since appeared on the BBC show, “Cuckoo” and the Fos production, “Scream Queens.”


Anna Kendrick starred as Jessica in “Twilight,” beginning her rise to fame. After her run on the series between 2008 and 2014, the bubbly teenager went on to pursue her acting, snagging the epic role of DJ Becca in the “Pitch Perfect” series.

Her breakout role in the 2008 movie contributed largely to her critically acclaimed success. In 2009, she got an Oscar nod for her role in “Up In The Air,” Additionally, she starred in “Into The Woods,” “Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates,” Table 19,” and “A Simple Favor.”

Anna Kendrick, who is now an A-lister in Hollywood, has succeeded as both an actress and a singer.


The “Twilight” series featured Peter Facinelli as the vampire dad, Carlisle Cullen, through its 4-year run. Since starring as Edward Cullen’s dad, the now 46-year-old has starred in “Nurse Jackie,” “Glee,” “Supergirl.” And “American Odyssey.”


Before attaining her spot in “Twilight,” Elizabeth Reaser was already a renowned actress, making her entertainment debut in 1998. During her first decade as an actress, she appeared in notable movies like “Scrubs,” and “Law And Order.”

Her role as Esme Cullen undoubtedly gave her higher ratings, making her a well sought-after actress. Her post-“Twilight” credits include “My Name Is Doris,” “Ouija: Origin Of Evil,” and “Hello,” among others.


Ashley Green has fast become a renowned actress. It’s almost impossible to remember a time when she was not on household screens. Interestingly, the 33-year-old actress got her big break as the spontaneous, teenage vampire, Alice Cullen in “Twilight.”

Over a decade later, Greene’s acting prowess is legendary, earning her several awards and accolades. Some of her movie credits include “A Warrior’s Heart,” and “Rogue.”


Nikki Reed’s breakout role came in the 2003 production of “Thirteen,” for which she earned an Independent Spirit Award. Having shown extraordinary prowess in Catherine Hardwicke’s 2003 production, Hardwick cast her once again in the “Twilight” series as Rosalie Hale. She did justice to the role.

Reed has since snagged additional gigs in “Balls Out,” and “Pawn,” among others.


Like most of his “Twilight” co-stars, Kellan Lutz was already into acting before landing his role in the series as vampire Emmet Cullen. While working on “Twilight,” he featured in several other movies.

Lutz went on to star as Poseidon in “Immortals,” and as a voice actor in “Tarzan 3D.”


The Jasper Hale role player, Jackson Rathbone, portrayed the role of the youngest vampire among the Cullens flawlessly for four years. Although he was no newbie to the spotlight at the time, having featured in the talk show, “Disney 411,” “Twilight” took his career to a greater heights.

Rathbone has multiple movie credits, with roles in “The Last Airbender,” and “ Heart! Baby,” among others. In addition, he is the founder of PatchMo Entertainment and Happy Jack Records. The icon also pursued a career in music.


A former child star who made her entertainment debut in the Nickelodeon show, “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,”  Serratos was a natural while portraying Angela Weber in “Twilight.”

Her role in the series earned her a Young Supporting Actress Award. She went on to star as Rosita Espinosa in “The Walking Dead,” which remains her most recognized to date.

Cast as Charlie Swan in the fantasy drama, “Gilly,” Burke caved his way into many hearts. As the rugged father of Bella Swan, he naturally became a frequently type-casted actor, with roles in “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Zoo,” and “Chicago PD.”
