XXXTentacion’s Autopsy Showed He Was Shot Multiple Times
XXXTentacion’s fans and the world were shocked and grieved when his death was first announced. The “Guardian Angel” crooner had always been candid about his violent past in his songs, and his story had resonated with many. Some other topics he was vocal about were mental health and the struggles of a growing black man.
XXXTentacion’s death was ruled a robbery, but it triggered the discussion of how hip-hop culture glorifies violence, especially gun violence. Indeed, it is what ultimately led to his death.
XXXTentacion’s autopsy showed that he was shot several times. However, the bullet that did the real damage entered his neck and rendered him immobile at the moment of impact. The shooting occurred at a South Florida motorcycle dealership where the rapper had been shopping for a bike with a female companion.

He had been in his car, ready to leave when the armed robbers’ vehicle blocked the road. Two armed men descended, and a struggle began between them and the rapper, resulting in guns being fired.
After he was shot, the men reportedly reached into his car and snatched up a Louis Vuitton bag the rapper had been carrying. It reportedly contained $50,000. All three men involved in the robbery have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.
XXXTentacion Confessed to His Crimes Before His Death
XXXTentacion did not just sing about violence, he lived it too. After his demise, a secret recording that detailed some of his crimes surfaced on the Internet. It was taken two years before his death.
In the 27-minute recording, XXXTentacion admitted to “f—king up” his then-pregnant girlfriend and stabbing as many as eight people. The authorities had initially believed the number to be three.
As the recording proceeded, he spoke more about his disturbing life of crime. He said, “I put my source of happiness in another person, which was a mistake initially, right? But she fell through on every occasion until now. Until I started f—king her up, bro.”
XXXTentancion also said: “I started f—king her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand.”
The rapper was arrested on October 8, 2016, for aggravated battery of a pregnant victim, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering. He was awaiting trial when he got fatally shot outside the motorcycle store.
