On May 6, 2022, news about the death of actor Mike Hagerty broke on multiple news platforms. The actor’s most prominent role came when he starred in the famous NBC sitcom “Friends.”

Sources told TMZ that the actor was recovering from an infection in one of his legs. Unfortunately, the pain proved too much for Mike with the filming of season two of his show “Somebody Somewhere” still to come.
The actor’s doctor then sent him to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, at the hospital, Mike took an antibiotic that allegedly caused him to suffer a seizure. As a result, the actor went into a coma, which unfortunately led to his death.

Actress Bridget Everett was one of the first to announce the news of Mike’s death. Before his death, the actor had starred as her father in the HBO comedy series “Somebody Somewhere.”
The actress shared the news of Mike’s death on Instagram on behalf of his family. In her post, Bridget wrote:
“A beloved character actor, his love of his hometown of Chicago and his family were the cornerstones of his life. Mike, a devoted husband, is survived by his wife Mary Kathryn, his sister Mary Ann Hagerty, her wife Kathleen O’Rourke, and their daughter Meg. He will be sorely missed.”
Bridget also wrote a personal post paying tribute to her costar. According to the actress, she loved Mike immediately after they met because he was so special, warm, and funny.
Also, she expressed how devastated the entire cast was by the news of his death. The entire crew and cast adored the late actor, and their thoughts were with his wife and family.
Bridget’s co-star Jeff Hiller also praised Mike and tagged him as wonderful, kind, sensitive, hilarious, and gentle. Jeff also disclosed how people loved the late actor for his roles in multiple movies. He declared:
“They said they loved seeing him in such a nuanced role and loved his performance. I did too. We saw each other in February and he was so excited for a second season and said he asked the writers to give us [a] scene together. He drove Murray and me home from dinner and made us laugh all the way to the hotel with his self-deprecating humor and wit. He was truly the best. He will be missed.”
