Christina and Tarek met while they were both working as real estate agents. As their relationship progressed, the pair started a real estate agency called “Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group” in California.

To get their first house, the couple partnered with Pete De Best and bought their first house for $115 000 in Santa Ana. After flipping the house, they earned a profit of $34 000. After the success of their first enterprise, Tarek and Christina subsequently expanded their housing business to Arizona and Nevada.

The couple also created their construction and design company in Southern California. Sadly things turned sour for the couple after the housing market crashed on the back of the October 2008 stock market crash.

The producers loved the tape and signed the couple up for the weekly reality series “Flip or Flop.” The show was a massive success for both the couple and the studio.

Sadly in 2018, Christina and Tarek ended their marriage; however, they continued to film the show. They also continued to coach thousands of real estate students yearly through their ‘Real Estate Elevated” investment program.
