Noah Presgrove was well-known at his high school in Oklahoma. Presgrove was by all standards a natural athlete at his high school, excelling in multiple sports, from football to wrestling to cross-country and track teams. Dailen Presgrove, Presgrove’s elder brother, who teaches at his school, said that it didn’t matter who, as Presgrove got along with everyone.

In 2023, Presgrove graduated from Comanche High School in Oklahoma with plans of enlisting in the military along with his cousin. His grandmother, Deborah Smith, more commonly referred to as “Nana,” described Presgrove as a good and respectful teenager. Smith had assisted in Presgrove’s upbringing, especially during the period his mother, Kasey Elliot, battled with drug problems. 

Noah Presgrove’s Death

On September 4, 2023, Presgrove was found dead on Oklahoma Highway 81 by two passers-by on Labor Day 2023. When Presgrove’s body was found, he had multiple severe injuries with no answers about how he got them. 

According to the 911 calls, the caller initially thought that Presgrove’s corpse was a deer before realizing it was human remains.  However, nearly a year after his death, the state police continue to investigate, although they have yet to make any progress.

The first caller had told the police that “it looks like someone got hit, like someone walking down the highway; they are lying on the shoulder in the road.” Additionally, the caller stated, “Yeah, like on the shoulder, like maybe they were walking and somebody hit them. I thought it was a deer, but it looks like a body.” Subsequently, the call was processed to describe the scene as strange and highly unusual.

A few minutes after the first call, another 911 call was made, reporting the sighting of a body in the same location as the previous caller. The second caller stated that he was on his way to work when he saw a lifeless, naked body lying on the side of the road. Additionally, the second caller claimed there was a piece of clothing near the body.

What Happened to Noah Presgrove?

When the case was originally investigated, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation described Presgrove’s death as suspicious. The department has yet to officially determine the cause of Presgrove’s death. However, they have ruled out murder as his cause of death.

Although the state police are investigating after ruling out murder, Presgrove’s family is seeking the truth independently. The private investigation began in 2023, when various families gathered together to mourn Presgrove’s death.

Kathy Bingham, a private investigator whose grandson is one of Noah’s cousins, had called her to ask for her assistance. Bingham introduced herself to the grieving family, telling them that she was going to find out what happened. Subsequently, after Bingham had started her investigation by interviewing people who attended the party, he was last seen alive.

Bingham hopes to gather their testimonies to create a timeline of his final hours and find the exact moment of his death. In April 2024, Dailen began conducting his interviews and gathering information while cross-referencing testimonies. Dailen stated that “somebody knows something.”

Noah Presgrove Autopsy Report

According to Presgrove’s official autopsy, it was stated that he died from injuries caused by multiple blunt-force impacts. However, the exact cause of the injuries remains unknown. The witness caller’s descriptions matched what the medical examiner had reported.

According to the medical examiner’s report, on the morning of September 4, 2023, Presgrove was found dead on a roadside. Presgrove was naked, wearing only his shoes, when his body was found. At the scene where his body was discovered, there were no vehicle parts or debris to indicate a hit-and-run.

Consequently, the autopsy could not determine the manner of his death, as it could not determine what had transpired or how the body got to the highway. The report added that “further investigation revealed that the decedent was at a house party and drinking on September 3, 2023. Then he rode an ATV ranger vehicle with several men that had a rollover incident. The decedent was alive following the incident and returned to the party, where he got into an argument with his girlfriend. The decedent left the house party and was not found until the morning of September 4, 2023, on the side of the highway.”

Presgrove passed away at the age of 19. To get answers, Presgrove’s family created a Facebook group in 2024, named “Justice for Noah Presgrove.” According to Madison Rawlings, Presgrove’s sister, her family holds no grudges and seeks closure regarding Presgrove’s death.
