Travis Kelce Agrees to Two-Year Contract Extension With the Chiefs

Travis Kelce has a new two-year offer with the Kansas City Chiefs, which is slated to end in 2027. The team announced this development.

The new deal will put Travis among the highest-paid players at his level and position. According to the news network, he is estimated to earn over $34.25 million during this span.

Kelce expressed excitement at the new deal and promised to give his best. Reminiscing on how far he has come with the Chiefs, he is positive that the next season with the team will be worth it and better than the previous ones. I will go to the field with the team, and we’re ready to go! he said.

Travis’s contribution to the team’s overall and general success is worth noting. He is a 9-time Pro Bowler and a 3-time Super Bowl champion.

He also helped the team claim its second consecutive title. The 34-year-old is considered one of the greatest tight ends in the NFL’s history.

Travis also holds records for tight ends for the most 1,000-yard seasons (7), consecutive 1,000-yard seasons (7), receiving yards in a season (1,416), and games with more than 100 yards receiving (37).

He is undoubtedly an exceptional player. That’s why  Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes said he would not let him leave via his X handle.

Aside from playing, he also has an amazing life outside the game. He is in a relationship with music star Taylor Swift.

She attended most of his games during the just-concluded season, showing her support. Kelce also co-anchors the podcast show New Height with his brother Jason, a former all-pro offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles. 

His older brother, Jason, also had a great time with the Philadelphia Eagles, retiring after 13 fantastic seasons. The family has a notable, glowing career with their respective team.

For Travis, this extension may likely be the end of his career in Kansas City.
