Following a bust, the feds have charged three individuals for operating a “high-end brothel network” in Massachusetts and Virginia. According to Joshua Levy, acting US attorney for Massachusetts, the brothel’s clientele includes high-ranking officials. Some allegedly include elected officials, military officers, and government contractors with security clearances.

“They are doctors, they are lawyers, they are accountants, they are elected officers, they are executives of high tech companies and pharmaceutical companies,…” Levy said of the long list of clients during a press conference in Boston. “Pick a profession. They’re probably represented in this case.”

Levy did not identify any of the brothel’s alleged clients. However, he noted that the feds are executing multiple search warrants in the case in Massachusetts, California, and Virginia.

The press conference in Boston and Levy’s shocking reveal sent the media into a frenzy. Americans are curious about the alleged long list of the brothel’s clientele, especially the names on it. While the names are yet to come out, the feds have identified the arrested suspects.

The suspects are Han Lee, 41, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, James Lee, 68, of Torrance, California, and Junmyung Lee, 30, of Dedham, Massachusetts. The authorities have charged them with “conspiracy to coerce and entice to travel to engage in illegal sexual activity.”

According to Levy, these three individuals transported women and advertised them online through several websites for pre-approved clients to select. In addition, they ran the brothels out of apartments they rented.

“This case goes back to the summer of 2022 when investigators identified several buyers through surveillance phone records and interviews,” Levy said. “The buyers who made up this ring hail from an array of professions.”

The acting US attorney for Massachusetts added, “There are potentially hundreds of individuals who took these services as commercial sex buyers.” While Levy didn’t go into much detail regarding the identity of the patrons, he noted that the investigation is still in its early stages.

In his speech, Levy revealed that this high-end brothel had a way of approving their clients. He said the alleged prospective sex buyers in the scheme had to respond to a survey and provide information online. He also revealed they had to provide their driver’s license photos, employer information, and credit card information.

Besides providing their information to the “high-end brothel” runners, they also paid monthly to be a part of the scheme. The clients allegedly paid about $350-$600 an hour for the brothel services.

According to reports, the authorities interviewed about 20 sex buyers in connection with the investigation. One of the alleged buyers disclosed that he got a text about available options at a brothel. He also added that the text included details of the women available, the sexual services, and the hourly rate.

Since the affidavit didn’t reveal the name of the buyers, several Americans have expressed undue dissatisfaction. A Twitter user even said, “They never reveal these names.” However, in a rebuttal, the Feds said the affidavit didn’t name the customers because the investigation into their involvement is “active and ongoing.”
