World-famous pop star Taylor Swift is arguably one of the most influential figures in the U.S. Her fan base, called the “Swifties,” is notorious for starting trends and hanging on her every word. Therefore, some believe she is subtly involved in a federal effort to see President Joe Biden re-elected in 2024.
For months, people have spread several conspiracy theories about her regarding the upcoming election. This theory, in particular, believes that Swift was attempting to control American politics through the NFL. Her current boyfriend and Chiefs tight end is Travis Kelce, one of the most famous NFL athletes.
Kielce and his team just secured two back-to-back Super Bowl titles. So, how does this give the “Bad Blood” singer control over American politics? The alt-right believes that her relationship is totally fake.
They claim that the government fabricated the entire relationship. With her influence, they believe that she could win the hearts of those in the NFL and decide who they vote for in November. Do people really believe this baseless theory?

Monmouth University conducted a poll to determine how much weight the alleged scheme holds. The results showed that almost 1 in 5 Americans (18%) believe the theory.
Of the 18%, 71 percent identify with or lean towards the GOP. 83% also indicated they were likely to support former president Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
73% of those who believe the Swift theory also believe that the 2020 presidential election outcome was fake. This is unsurprising, as most people who support the GOP believe that, too.
Of those who believe the theory, 42% had not heard of it before being contacted by the university. Therefore, they only believed it immediately without further information or proof. Patrick Murray, the director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute, reported that the theory is majorly common among Trump supporters.

“The supposed Taylor Swift PsyOp conspiracy has legs among a decent number of Trump supporters. Even many who hadn’t heard about it before we polled them accepted the idea as credible. Welcome to the 2024 election,” he said.
What’s more, GOP supporters have been hinting at this theory for a while. In January, former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy put out a post on X (formerly Twitter) hinting at this scheme.
“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month. And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here. Let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.”

As one of the influential artists of our time, it is not surprising that there is a lot of speculation on her relationship. However, the “Blankspace” singer seems happy with her new beau. While she is indeed getting a lot of NFL media coverage, she is expected to bring a high level of clout to the game.
She is one of the most successful artists; people love and adore her. What would be suspicious is if she wasn’t getting attention from the media. She is Taylor Swift, after all!
