The internet was awash with Andrew Tate’s slew of misogynistic comments in 2022, among several controversies associated with the former kickboxer. But his mother, Eileen Tate, disapproves of her son’s behavior. Here’s a look at the life and perspectives of Eileen about her son, Andrew, and his brother, Tristian Tate.

Eileen Tate: Early Life and Background

Eileen Tate, known as Eileen Ashleigh Tate, hails from the United Kingdom and is recognized as the mother of accomplished American kickboxer Andrew Tate. She married Emory Andrew Tate Jr., who sadly passed away at 56 while participating in a chess competition in California.

Their union blessed them with three children: Andrew, Tristan, and Janine Tate. Notably, Eileen dedicated her time as a diner lady, diligently washing dishes until her retirement.

Eileen’s husband, Emory Tate Jr., was in the mid-1980s a dedicated serviceman in the US Air Force. The couple’s union led them to Chicago, where their son Andrew was born, before embarking on a journey to Berlin due to Emory’s professional commitments.

Renowned for his linguistic prowess, Emory emerged as a prominent figure in chess, attaining the remarkable feat of becoming a five-time champion of the US Armed Forces and earning global recognition by the mid-1980s.

Despite his demanding work and flourishing chess career, Emory’s frequent absences from home strained his relationship with Eileen, ultimately resulting in their divorce. Following her divorce, Eileen took on the responsibility of raising their three children in a residence located in Bedfordshire, England. At the time, Andrew was 11 years old.

Nevertheless, Eileen’s children maintained contact with their father until his untimely passing during a chess tournament near San Jose, California, in October 2015. Since the divorce, Eileen lived a quiet life until she garnered media attention due to her well-known son and the controversial actions and views associated with him.

Andrew Tate’s Relationship With His Mother, Eileen Tate

Andrew Tate, driven by his ambitions as a successful kickboxer and television personality, expressed his desire to support his mother’s retirement. In a revealing podcast discussion, Andrew shed light on his deep appreciation and admiration for his mother, Eileen.

During an interview, he said: “When I first started making money, I retired my mother. I called her up and said, look, because she was still a diner lady, she was washing dishes, and I said, shut that off.”

But due to his misogynistic tendencies, he added: “Isn’t that as old as the human time where the sons make money to look after the parent? Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be? I don’t know. I thought that was normal. The Western attitude towards the whole thing was so skewed.”

In numerous podcasts and media interviews, Andrew Tate has openly discussed the dynamics of his relationship with his mother, Eileen, and his father, Emory. Andrew’s parents separated during his formative year, making his upbringing his mother’s responsibility.

Andrew has characterized Eileen as “mean and hard,” implying that their relationship was challenging. Additionally, he has mentioned that his interactions with his father were infrequent, with only one yearly meeting.

During one of these visits, Andrew recalls a heated argument between them. As for their relationship before Emory’s death, it remains unknown if they were cordial.

What Are Eileen’s Perspectives About Andrew and Tristian’s Legal Troubles?

In response to Andrew Tate’s legal troubles and controversial lifestyle, Eileen Tate, his mother, has publicly expressed her disapproval, stating that she did not raise her children in such a manner. She is not alone in this, as Andrew’s sister, Janine, and other family members have condemned the Tate brothers’ behavior.

Andrew Tate remains a prominent public subject, especially with his shocking arrest and feud with Greta Thunberg. However, his misogynistic rants and talks about “breaking the matrix” initially plunged him into the viral spotlight.

According to reports from The Sun, a family friend shared Eileen Tate’s sentiments regarding her son’s online statements. The source disclosed, “I don’t think she is happy with what Andrew says, the misogyny. She says he says these things for the response he gets — for the number of hits on the internet.”

Additionally, one Melvin Cox, a relative of Eileen’s late husband, Emory, expressed his belief that Andrew’s dad would be ashamed of his son’s actions. Cox said in an interview: “As far as I’m concerned, their dad would have respected their business acumen, but he wasn’t into misogyny or anything like that.”

Although Eileen Tate has disapproved of her son’s actions, reports indicate that she visited their villa in Romania before their arrests. A family friend characterized former kickboxer Andrew Tate as a “mummy’s boy” and highlighted the vast difference between his current vile persona and his demeanor during his upbringing. Without a doubt, just as Eileen has pointed out, the public reception of their misogynistic rants is a significant reason why they continue to thrive on that.
