They welcomed Egypt on October 14, 2010. He was Keys’ first child but Swizz Beatz’s fourth, and he came not long after the pair tied the knot. Their wedding was a private affair somewhere overlooking the ancient Mediterranean Sea in July 2010.

Beatz and Keys did not know if they would have a boy or a girl at their wedding. However, Beats talked about how excited they were to start a family together. He mentioned that his wife was “super ready” to become a mother and called her a great “parent-to-be.”

He was right. Since Egypt was born, Keys has been nothing but a doting and supporting mother. Egypt was raised with love, and he inherited many attributes from his parents, including their musical genes.

Egypt Daoud Dean Is a Musical Genius

Egypt might also adopt the stage name “Keys” like his mother did because he seems to have that talent with the keyboard his mom is famous for. According to reports, Egypt Daoud Dean has played the piano since he was four. Keys is proud of his talent and has often praised him for it.

In “Noted: Alicia Keys the Untold Stories,” a four-part documentary series documenting Keys’ journey as a star, she commented on her son’s musical genius.

In one teaser clip that surfaced, she revealed that Egypt has always loved the piano and that he has a unique ear for it. In fact, as a young kid, he got so good that sometimes when he played, she would want to know what he was playing because of how good it sounded.

Egypt Daoud Dean Collaborated With Alicia Keys at Age 11

When he was 11, Egypt collaborated with his mother on her album “Keys,” which profoundly affected his mother. She enjoyed watching him join the creative process of her music.

In an interview that saw her open up about the album, Keys praised Egypt for his wondrous voice and musical talent

She said:

“He has a beautiful voice. It’s a version of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow,’ which is a song that we’ve sang since he was a baby. And now we have this song together! It’s a sweet lullaby that we did on Apple. And it just dropped. So, I have to say I was, like, super proud mom zones.”

Keys also revealed her son’s excitement to join her and Beatz on tours. She said he jumps to play the drums or other musical instruments, and when he plays, his melody always halts her in her tracks.

She said: “When I hear him play, I definitely stop in my tracks… I’m listening to his chords and I’m listening to his choices. It’s not been a surprise because he’s always been connected to it.”

Keys will not push Egypt into music, but it is evident that it is his likely career path, given what he is already doing in the industry.

Egypt Has Also Collaborated With Kendrick Lamar

In 2016, it was revealed that Alicia Keys’ son Egypt Daoud Dean would be on Kendrick Lamar’s “Untitled Unmastered” project. Beatz could not contain his pride. He took to Instagram to congratulate Egypt, who was still just five, for the win.

He stated that it was the “best Dad moment ever” and revealed that it was the first track his son would ever produce. The proud dad also shared a video that captured Egypt creating the “Untitled 7” track in the studio.

Keys also boasted about the accomplishment on Instagram. She revealed that Egypt woke up humming the melody and had gone to the piano to find it. She wrote: “He loves to play…. I know that feeling——–Congratulations Egypt for practicing and learning and trying and listening to the music in your heart!”

Kendrick Lamar, the rich yet frugal rapper, released the surprise eight-track project at midnight on March 4, 2016. It made Little Egypt one of the youngest producers ever.
